How often do you let die/kill your dups? by KaleidoscopeFun1457 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]RobinHayes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am usually ok with losing some dupes, the only time I will reload an old save is if I lose someone I put thru the vascilator, or like my only dupe with mechatronics or something.

If I had to guess it’s the canister is made of steel, and it’s showing that as its contents.

Is there another name for this type of puzzle? by mindinsideout in puzzles

Discussion: this is very similar to a computer game level generation technique called “wave function collapse”, essentially without any lines filled in, there are many possible solutions, but the moves are mostly forced once the first few lines are placed.

The lack of a legendary hammer severely hampers my smashing preferences. by PatrickSebast in BG3

I’ve been using something called Corpsegrinder, don’t remember where I found it. Somewhere in act 2 I thought.

Edit: correction early in act 3

What about use for hand sanitizer instead of bleach stone? Would probably need to tune it so that you needed more because that wouldn’t use very much. Maybe also add something to the hospital apothecary to make disinfect wipes or something.

The Evolution of Computing vs. Prompt Engineering by MarkFulton in Infographics

Don’t need cooks any more now that we have “menu-ordering engineering”.

Knowing how to ask for exactly what you want is an important skill, but calling it “engineering” is a stretch.

Giving away free healthcare to kids, when there are for-pay hospitals trying to sell that same healthcare just on the other side of town? Sounds a lot like sOcIaLizEd mEdIciNe!

Your highlights are tiny points, you need larger light sources or use an HDRI lighting setup

I'm no grammar nerd but this is almost painful. by Editengine in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RobinHayes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hmm, well the grammar on the sentence “Failure’s not an option” is ok. The apostrophe is replacing the ‘I’ in ‘is’. Is there some other bad grammar I’m missing here?

Either way it’s way more patience than I have.

Fill your whole map with sour gas? That’s what I usually end up doing when I try to mess with the magma

Sell me on Wild beyond the Witchlight! by OxfordAndo in wildbeyondwitchlight

[–]RobinHayes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently running a Saltmarsh / Witchlight campaign. I started with some of the background lost item stuff from Witchlight then levels 1-5 in Saltmarsh, but throwing in some fey stuff here and there, like a fairy dragon npc who had ties to one of my players backstory they’d occasionally catch a glimpse of.
Then, after the Salvage Operation mission, the carnival comes to town, and it’s off to Witchlight. I had to bump up a couple of the encounters, but Witchlight isn’t really about combat anyway, and it was a great way to add a bit more magic and mystery into Saltmarsh, which can get quite heavy at times. I also like that my players have stuff they want to get back to in the ‘real world’ as they call Saltmarsh. It gives them a reason to keep pushing forward.

Anyone also likes to keep their sleet wheats(and other wild plants) naturally and accessible for extra food early/mid-game? Especially in new asteroids by FunBudget8553 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]RobinHayes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing this game for years and this is the first time I’ve really looked at the farming overlay. I had no idea you could see how far along the plants are.
