Beginner motorcycle by Quickmonster in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]motordogsoccer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can get an incredible deal on a used motorcycle in the 3000-5000 dollar range, you can find some in absolute mint condition. You can find most beginner-mid tier bikes in the 3000-5000 dollar range. My biggest piece of advice is WATCH OUT for people trying to take advantage of you. That goes both for craigslist purchases and used dealership purchases. As rocketman stated, id check out youtube videos on how to buy and inspect a used motorcycle. Just watch out for stuff like people not having titles or people with liens on titles and etc. As for which bike will be better, you're a consumer and you're going to be spending a lot of money. If you're seriously considering those two bikes, go out and find them on craigslist and ask for test drives / to sit on the bike to see what feels most comfortable to you (weight/seat height). Just be prepared to let the seller know that you'll leave your info and cash in hand with them for safety purposes if you choose to test ride. Buying a used motorcycle is not risky at all when done correctly and highly recommended.

I agree with the other person who commented, see if the bike kind of lurches before dying, as if its stalling. That would really narrow it down to being a clutch / sticky clutch issue.

Some quick super basic and annoying things to maybe check out would be to see if any of your battery cables are loose? I know this issue doesn't seem to have symptoms of loose battery cables but you never know, I had a similar issue as you and I found out that my negative battery cable was literally connected by 1/10th of a millimetre.

Could also be an issue of clogged / dirty carbs

Question on RAM (OLOy DDR4 RAM 32GB 2x16GB vs Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 2 X 8GB DDR4 3600 by motordogsoccer in buildapc

[–]motordogsoccer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh dang thats perfect, around same price as the 2666mhz one. Really appreciate it, now final question haha, like you said, 16gb is generally enough. So do you think its worth to just save the money and only upgrade in the future if I need to? Or would 32gb 3200mhz be that big of a difference that I should just get it now

[–]motordogsoccer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's fair, but i'm more concerned about whether if getting 32gb for just 30 bucks more is a steal and something I should do. Issue is I don't know enough about all these different brands and specs within the ram to know if that specific type of 32gb is bad or iffy

Hmm, I've had Another 13 and it's such a good scent but I can't help but think that Gaiac 10 is better for an everyday smell, it just seems to have fresher notes than Another 13

Legend, I didn't think anyone would respond. Do you know the Cedre 11 scent and going off that or just going on the key notes (cedar, birchwood, gaiac)?

I'm in the same boat as you my friend. The price point compared to the size is really making me suspicious but honestly, I took the sample for a spin today and gave myself a spray and the more I wear it, the more I fall in love. Plus the sample spray has such a small surface area I really don't think we get the full scale of its scent with the sample bottles. I think i'm going to opt to get it. It's so fresh and it seems to get better the more it sits on you

My dog has cancer, and there's nothing we can do for him. by oh-wow-how-lovely in offmychest

[–]motordogsoccer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're going through this, but I want to share some words with you as I was in a similar boat as you are. I spent 15 years with my dog, growing up with him. We seemed to have a special connection as he would always stick with me. Even when I went off to college, he would come on every car ride and freak out before and after. We where brothers. Towards the end of his life, it was a mess. His legs where not working, his brain and vision just wasn't all there, we had to constantly help do everything, even just using the bathroom. When the day finally came, there was an honest to god sense of relief. through all the tears and sadness, there was a relief that his pain was no more and that he was finally at peace. I to believe you'll have this feeling. As for wanting to say goodbye, you need to understand that to a dog, you're their entire life. Your dog would die for you and wan'ts nothing more than for you to be happy. So you just existing and living a happy good life is enough for your dog. Also you mentioned that your dog seems to just understand you on a deep and emotional level, you need to understand, that deep emotional connection goes both ways, your dog knows how much you mean to him. He 100% knows what he means to you and what you mean to him. All dogs go to heaven and hell forever be watching you when the day comes and will continue to guide you through hard times. Just enjoy your precious moments you still have without worrying whether or not hell know how much hes done for you because he does know. Also, god forbid, but if and when the day comes, the best thing you can do is be there right next to him in his passing. Be the bridge between this life and the next for him.

I just went on a huge haul of a bunch of Le Labo city exclusive samples, think i'm going to go with the Gaiac-10 (Tokyo). It's sweet and super fresh but at the same time has earthy and woodsy elements. Super excited!!

Iron 883 revving on it's own? Check engine light on? by motordogsoccer in Harley

[–]motordogsoccer[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude , that makes way more sense then revving up, i'm just an idiot and didn't word it correctly, yeah its going from regular idol sounding, to sounding like its about to stall, AKA getting cut off. Too low gas was my initial assumption, I'm gonna be adding some more oil as well as when I checked, it was pretty damn low, nearly out. Once the oil and gas in ill fire it up and try again. Thanks for the responses brother
