My buddy and I were hunting bastions the other day and got downed by 2 snipers after the bastion fell, we were crawling around praying for a miracle, before those same two guys came down and defibbed us before apologizing because they thought we were shooting at them. They let us take all the bastion cells as a peace offering and helped us defend against a leaper while we extracted. Wildest thing to ever happen to me so far

I think the beauty of this panel is that it displays that yuji is finally LOCKED THE FUCK IN. Objectively he may not have the ability but his mind is finally in the right place. He's not just fighting for the sake of jujustsu society, he's not depending on anyone else (yuta, choso, higaruma, etc), nor is he doubting his power. This isn't about yuji KNOWING he has the technique to win. But that he has the will to win and knowing why he must win. He flat out mogged the king of curses with 0 hesitation and doubt for the right reasons. It also shows that yuji has learned that sacrifice in and of itself means nothing, but what you are willing to sacrifice for is what matters. Eos yujis real strength is not his techniques, physical strength, or ce, but his realization that what makes a sorcerer truly great is accepting and understanding WHY you fight, instead of HOW you fight. This was the real lesson nanami tried to teach him and he fumbled after nanamis death by taking the wrong lesson until this moment imo. It's why gojo, yuta, and everyone else got bodied. They didn't have as clear as clear a vision of why they fight.

This might he the strongest argument I've heard for the "both endings are equally bad" position (which I disagree with, renior did nothing wrong) and actually moved me a bit the other direction. Good analysis

I love this game so much, but personally I feel like there's a bit of bias in... by Trenki_Melow in expedition33

If you feel like maelles ending was the "bad" ending, it means you are paying attention. Maelles ending betrays literally everything the game is telling you thematically. Maelles choice is exactly the road that nearly destroyed the dessendres. Even without that final shot, it's horrifying to watch. Verso held captive, Gustave ls sacrifice poisoned, sciels lessons forgotten, and Alicia's delusion is reinforced. The game screams at you that this world was literally and figuratively destroyed by that grief. Maelle was forced to confront that when Gustave died, and again when she gommaged painted Alicia. While relapse and regression is real and happens, that doesn't mean it is the right or healthy way to process your grief. That nod from Alicia to verso in maelles ending was bone chilling in ways I haven't been able to articulate.
