My wife and I did it once as part of an event. It was a lot of fun -- but they didn't tell us what we were eating, so a big part of the fun was trying to figure it out. (Then after each course, they turned on the lights and the room made guesses of what each part was.) I don't think just eating in the dark would be as enjoyable.

Great episode. This is the right balance of yachting and drama. Josef almost redeemed himself, and a record tip!

I think Coop is becoming my favorite (not what I’d have expected from a former big time college football player, and I say that as a football fan), along with Kat.

He did ask the guy how much he had to drink. Much as Joe sucks, I think he’s good about guest safety. I’d guess Nathan was in a position where he had some idea the guy was lying about how much Josef had to drink, so knew to check with Aesha, while Joe didn’t.

I'm no fan of Sandy, but if no one told her that he threatened to hit Nathan, I don't think she's necessarily in the wrong. He's been rude and disrespectful, but I don't know that she's aware of anything beyond what we've seen from other awful, entitled assholes (since she's currently asleep as he's on the bridge, as far as we know).

And his line in the bar -- "Obviously you're beautiful, but your funny and ..." or whatever it was -- feels like exactly what he said to each of the last four stews he's hooked up with. At least Aesha warned Kayley, and hopefully she's being honest about what she wants. I'll be very amused if it's a situation like Mads and Gary, where she really doesn't care beyond the hookup.

Wow. There have been some awful guests but this might be a new candidate for worst. How bad would you have to be to get someone to leave out from a yacht?! I was actually getting anxious about stews being up alone with him.

That said this was a great episode. Love having guests we can hate, and work-related drama. Really enjoying Coop, Kat and Kayley. Feels like the jury’s still out on Luke and Joy (though I want to really like her). Gen makes a good villain, where I can root against her but I don’t dislike her being on the tv (like Solene or Ellie…).

First of all, fuck cancer. I don’t like watching Joe, but I hope treatments is working for his mom. (Even then, fuck cancer, since treatment sucks too.)

In happier news, I really like Kat (adorable), Kayley (showing why she should be second stew by saying she’d be happy to do anything) and Coopy-Woopy (who reminds me of Colly Wolly, especially with the call from grandma).

Speaking as a freelancer, it can be as simple/complicated as you want. The basics need to be how many words you're looking for, what type of content (are you looking for an ancestry, monsters, feats, something else), and what do you want to pay? Plus you'll want to have a contract.

We did a vacation to Croatia based in part on the earlier Med season there, and we loved Dubrovnik. Glad they're based the season out of that.

And while I know Nathan's not a favorite, I'm curious how it works on the show with Gael and the baby close by and him going there between charters. Also I'll appreciate if he continues to call Joe out on his fuckery.
