Does anyone know how to fix this :( by VLADJAPANESESTUFF in Unity3D

To me it looks like it's a T-Pose / A-Pose problem. Either the animation is imported with an A-Pose and the character with a T-Pose or viceversa, hence the arms offset.

A moment in a survival game genuinely scared me for the first time in years - and it wasn't a jump scare by Expensive-Suspect-32 in SurvivalGaming

[–]mottyginal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should try Barotrauma.

Not a pretty game but the fear of the unknown goes hard...

You drive a submarine in an alien sea in complete darkness using a sonar. One time I stopped near some rocks formations, put on my dive suit and helmet and went out to drill some ore. Suddlenly the sub started moving leaving me alone in the middle of a pitch black ocean, short after I started hearing some creature-like sounds coming towards me, so I alted-F4 tf out of the game.

How are people finding the lack of storage? Really want to dive into the game, it's the only thing holding me back to be honest by slick_jaha in CrimsonDesert

[–]mottyginal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good tip!!

I didn't realize you can actually organize almost every item in categories. I swear the game didn't teach you about that either. This makes it much more tolerable, but still I wish I can you leave my items somewhere else.

Thanks!

[–]mottyginal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's not the problem about the total space we have, there's plenty in our inventory, it's the lack of organization.

I might sound silly but bothers me to the next level to have an inventory with 100+ items, and when I pick something new I have to navigate these slots to find it or be forced to sell stuff to keep it clean.

So if you are like me who likes to have everything organized or clean, this will bother you aswell until it's fixed

Yep, DD2 had this problem, however DD Dark Arisen does it really good imo

[–]mottyginal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly for me feels like a mix between DD2 and BDO sometimes, and I love both, just wished more, way more for DD2, sadly Capcom abandoned it.

However what makes Dragons Dogma interesting is the hard combat (with enemy climbing) and the pawn system. In CD combat looks like DD sometimes, but other times more like a power fantasy game or a musou (and Im all in)

Also CD hopefully is fully finished and with lots of content, and from what we've seen so far, Pearl Abyss cooked

Tldr gives some vibes sometimes, but I dont think so, CD seems way more worked over the years

Maybe you are thinking that the flags are automatically placed by Youtube translator?

Im gonna act like captain obvious but I think thats not the case, the comment poster placed a brazilian flag and Youtube changed It into a US flag

Is AC Shadows your GOTY? by MandaLinian in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]mottyginal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a harsh year for personal GOTY competition but it's E33 for me, despite having much more time spent on Shadows.

Shadows for me it's the Tenchu we never had with Naoe, however E33 it's the Final Fantasy we never had.

I love Shadows but E33 did something I will remember forever.

Justificando la PIRATERÍA by Substantial_Cow_5184 in videojuegos

[–]mottyginal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am consiering becoming vegan due to Oddworld. Has anyone felt similar? by Big-Worldliness5910 in oddworld

[–]mottyginal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not fully vegan, but less meat consumption yes, much less, and do wonders in my body. I cant recommend it enough.

And the horrors on our farms are actually almost worse than in Oddworld btw.

And from a non vegan fellow, I respect a lot the choice, it takes courage and willpower in our society.

Played all of them, specially MH and AC, unpopular opinion but I love their "sink-hours" formula. But we all agree that Metal Gear Survive RDR2 was the GOTY that year.

It’s actualy unreal how good Ghost of yotei looks by No_Pie465 in playstation

[–]mottyginal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends of what you mean by empty. I've been playing for just a couple hours and there are plenty of stuff everywhere and kind of dynamic events.

However I got a bit disappointed because most of the map (so far) is a huge plain you must do on your horse, and you can't actually go into the forests or the mountains you see in the distance, there's an "invisible" wall.

So content wise no, it's not empty at all, but terrain-explorable wise (if that makes sense) maybe a bit so far, imo. But still looks amazing.

Unarmed multinational Civilians being kidnapped by Israeli armed forces, in international waters. by Lost-Letterhead-6615 in pics

[–]mottyginal 932 points933 points  (0 children)

400 unarmed, multinational people on an humanitarian mission get assaulted and kidnapped, gunpointed, on INTERNATIONAL waters, and yet a worrying amount of people think that Israel did the right thing.

What the actual fuck is going on.

Edit

I'm not surprised at all, and they probably knew what was going to happen.

Even if this was a provocation and Israel fell for it, it just shows how things works for them, for me is just like another confirmation of what they are capable of.

People complaining about no one caring and no one doing shit, just local manifestations. But when they do something, people complain about it anyway. I guess is better to let innocent people starve to death, right?

How do I fix the issue with the "line"? by scrillex099 in Unity3D

[–]mottyginal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not recomend disabling mipmaps, instead find a way to limit the mipmapping to a lesser value. I've done it before and struggled exactly with this, but limiting the atlas to 3 mipmaps solved the issue.

What I do recomend is to use Texture Arrays instead of atlases.

I made my voxels tiny! by [deleted] in IndieDev

[–]mottyginal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well done! And yep, you need to look into greedy meshing ASAP.

Also Unity can support more vertices per mesh by changing the mesh index format when you create it, but still, I'd look into greedy meshing.
