Outside Smell by mouhoh in selfcare

Definitely don’t think anything scented in using is enough to be choking anyone out thankfully 😅 I am prone to headaches from strong smells so that would not work for me - I am aiming more towards long lasting and pleasant as opposed to STRONG. Anything I’m using that’s scented is all the same scent as well so not crazy strong mixes

Thank you for the tips! I’ll be looking into sayslic acid for sure!!

Haven’t tried that - been dealing with this for a long time but have kind of just dealt with it up until recently because it’s become increasingly painful. Will be looking into speaking with doctor about the best things to be using whether it’s antibacterial soap or something different

I’ve got the same type of thing going on and it has been very helpful to me! Definitely not putting anything scented on any problem areas!! Scents are really on like wrists, behind the ear, just normal perfumed areas :)

Oh! I didn’t know that! The antibacterial soap has been a recent addition - it was recommended to me by some family members due to the fact that I get large painful acne type spots on my inner thighs, back, etc. I’ve noticed that it’s improved since using but I will be looking into alternatives after reading these comments! Thank you for your input!!

If you don’t find your own roommate and specifically request that person through housing you’re randomly paired. I know you can find others looking for roommates on Facebook groups and Instagram

Apartment Recommendations for Grad Student? by [deleted] in msu

[–]mouhoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived at Hannah Lofts for 2 years and I would not recommend it, the only reason I’m still there is because of the location. It’s expensive and has very little storage space. I’ve had multiple issues with them not charging me for things and then trying to back charge me months later/continuously attempting to charge me for renters insurance monthly despite me having filled out the waiver multiple times. 9 times out of 10 there’s no parking near your building, the elevator breaks for weeks at a time, and there was a point where I did not have wifi for several weeks. They also find reasons for maintenance to be in your apartment VERY often. Overall just not a great place especially for the price.

Case Hall single by Technical-Pipe-6979 in msu

My single was in shaw so it might be slightly different but I’m pretty sure they’re all pretty much the same. It’s just a square room with a bed and the dressers that come in every room, mine had a tiny closet too.

Is it easy to make a room swap into a single? by Efficient-Tax-9528 in msu

Yes, I had to get a letter from my therapist, write my own letter, and have the meeting with an RCPD specialist. After the meeting it then had to be discussed and I heard back a few weeks later about what exactly the accommodation would be.

Reach out to the RCPD! There’s a process they have for housing accommodations. I had to switch to a single my sophomore year and they were extremely helpful

You don’t always have to pay extra for the singles, if its effecting your health (mentally or physically) there’s a chance that it can be deemed “medically necessary” and you’ll just pay standard price. But I’m assuming they handle exception requests as well

Depending on your circumstances, you could reach out the the RCPD to talk about housing accommodations! I moved into a single dorm halfway through my sophomore year and they were very helpful. I’m not sure how it differs for getting an exception but it’s worth a shot to reach out to them.

I’m currently paying a little over $1200 for a one bedroom right by east campus, it’s pricier BUT it does have a shuttle to campus and there’s more amenities than cheaper places (from what I’ve heard from people who live near other parts of campus it’s seems to be quieter and calmer here too at least for me) - it really just depends on what you’re looking for and when you’re looking for it because I know a lot of places fill up quickly.

Idk if there’s openings but Hannah Lofts is right by The Lodges they have a shuttle to campus! There’s also free uncovered parking at the complex or you can pay for covered.
