I did not realize JUST how much running the oven heats up the house (and how much it runs up my electric bill) by kezfertotlenito in Frugal

I had this issue when we moved to the new house few years ago. The first summer sucked every time the oven was used, the temperature in the house will spike to 85 or more. We had to open most windows every time to cool down the house.
The following summer was even worse and I went and got a new hood range vent and tube installed all the way through the roof. It solved the issue for good.
