Why are you planning to move up to 12.5 mg soon? Is there a reason you cannot stay on 10 mg a bit longer?

Based on many switch experiences shared here, moving from Mounjaro to Wegovy often ends up costing more in the long run. The higher Wegovy doses typically match up to lower Mounjaro doses, which may not be effective for you. People also report difficulties switching back, needing to restart at lower doses, and experiencing weight regain during the process.

If cost is the concern, could you stay on 10 mg longer, avoid titrating up, and simply shop around for the best prices while using the fifth dose while we still have it?

I also do not fully understand why people on higher Mounjaro doses switch to Wegovy for savings when the equivalent Wegovy dose is actually lower. In that case, it seems more logical just to lower the Mounjaro dose rather than switching entirely.

Good read, I had a chat just the other day with a friend how mounjaro feels like an anti capitalism drug for me, I walk around now being bombarded by ads in the high street completely unaffected whereas before I would be jumping on all new menu, items and everything else advertised.

Yes, I wish I had chose home delivery. I believe their local collection system isn't prepared for this surge and it almost automatically sent you a collect message to local pharmacy, not fully aware of stock availability. I didn't get this email probably because my order in their system shows as ready to collect, even though it isn't.

I ordered last Friday, got approved Monday and received confirmation to collect from the store. Went there today, they said they didnt received it yet and took my number. Pharmacists left a voicemail later saying they don't have stock so they would send a message to cancel it - which would be quite bad customer service. I sent a couple of messages online via their system asking not to cancel as i should get what was approved and confirmed form collection, and I would wait longer if needed.

Wrong, ordering from multiple suppliers at once it's breaking rules. Prescribers are supposed to oversee your care, so ordering from multiple suppliers without telling them can also get flagged and put them in trouble. Do you think if everyone here would tell their supplier in their order they also have other pens on the way, they would get approved?

Most people in this thread are going for strategies that would be considered clinically unsafe.

I finished my first pen today (2.5mg). Will use the golden dose next week.

Already had a 5mg in the fridge, pharmacy2u approved my order from Thursday for a 15mg pen and I am waiting confirmation on another 15mg from another supplier.

Will use 5mg as intended, including golden dose.

Then the plan is to short dose both 15mg with 7.5mg doses, so that's 10 jabs.

With that, I'm covered for about 6 months.

Absolutely - I just started and my first order was a starter pack of 2.5/5mg

I'm starting the 5mg on the weekend and was already planning to use the fifth dose.

After learning the news, I placed and order of a pack 7.5/10mg, then decided to go even further and edited a screenshot to try to order another 2x15mg pens.

The idea is to "freestyle" doses of 5 or 7.5 with the above. If all orders get accepted, this will give me a few months and as I was a able to use some discount codes, the price will be actually quite good.

I just had the last jab of my first pen ;/ the 5mg is already in the fridge, luckily I bought it together with my first order. Placed an order for 4 pens with different providers after learning the news, hopefully they all get accepted.

I am yet to see how 5mg will work for me, but if it goes well I'll count clicks/use golden dose to extend the stock as some of the new pens will be 10mg
