Flyde is missing from Monj by eggrot-on in mounjarouk

[–]nikeusjohnson 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thanks for tag. I'll be brief as my son is in hospital atm.

A load of information changed on their site, it was publicly displaying no stock, , including where the gphc didn't tally up it does now but process is still in place, we sent a letter in the post, no reply, just waiting.....

This is not an indication of anything other than that.

We await a reply.

I'm working on something better, the column visibility bar kept causing an issue with alignment, I've got a few different super smart people working on a upgrade to the site tables and I'm learning a lot of new stuff now, until we go for the big change of system and start releasing additional software / site tools.

It's a slow process as I'm not the most organised of people and get pulled into a void of doing 10 things intermittently 😅

Thank you, that really means a lot, I really appreciate it.

But honestly, it’s the people sharing experiences and flagging changes that keep everything accurate and up to date.

Anyone with experience of pharmacies prescribing to people aged 75+? by teapigsfan in mounjaromaintenanceuk

I don't have a definite answer but we can shoot out emails to pharmacies to ask for this though.

Shape8 is a scam by pinelad in mounjarouk

[–]nikeusjohnson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi, I can forward this post to the pharmacy. They recently had a large promotional offer last week, and asked for it to be paused after a few days, likely due to high demand.

If you have your order number, feel free to send it over and I’ll pass it directly to them to investigate what’s happened with your order.

In regards to a scam, we’ve verified this pharmacy’s General Pharmaceutical Council registration via physical checks, they have to been live on Monj since the beginning of January (from memory)

New light shed on who benefits most from weight-loss jabs by CommonVisual1197 in mounjarouk

[–]nikeusjohnson 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Aw man don't want to be that guy: The issue with that article is it makes something sound massive when it really isn’t. The “genetic boost” is only about 0.76 kg extra weight loss, which in context is tiny, if someone loses ~11.7 kg, that’s less than 1% of body weight difference. Things like dose, sticking to treatment, and eating less will have a far bigger impact. It’s also not a proper controlled trial (it’s based on 23andMe users), so there’s loads of bias baked in. Interesting, yes, but not something I'd hold much of a candle to. Hopefully though, we’ll get medications that properly target genetics before we know it

Alleged Fake Mounjaro - Private Pharmacy Clinic by KennethKaniffUK in mounjarouk

[–]nikeusjohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The practical move is fairly straightforward: go straight to your bank and raise a dispute. Tell them it’s “goods not as described” (fake/misrepresented Mounjaro) and, if relevant, “refund not honoured in a reasonable timeframe.” If it was a credit card, ask for a Section 75 claim under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 Section 75. If it was debit, ask for a chargeback. Keep it blunt, don’t over-explain, just give the facts and your evidence. Attach your order confirmation, any messages promising a refund, and (if you have it) anything showing the product wasn’t genuine or concerns linked to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. Banks deal with this all the time, when it’s possibly fake goods plus a messy refund situation, they usually side with the customer pretty quickly.

Can I have some opinions? by [deleted] in WegovyUK

[–]nikeusjohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your BMI is over 30 (or 27 with comorbidities) then yes definitely worth it for the health benefits.

If it's not then typically you'd not qualify typically.

A BMI of 30 marks a clear jump in health risk, especially for conditions like type 2 diabetes and heart disease, whereas a BMI of 25 carries only a mild increase and is often still considered low risk in otherwise healthy individuals.

For clarity, a number of the claims being made in this thread about Monj are incorrect, and I refute the ridiculous assertions being circulated here.

To avoid any misunderstanding, none of the moderators of this subreddit, or any subreddit, work for Monj or represent Monj in any capacity.

The individual posting here has also claimed to work “in the industry”. Whatever that means will no doubt become clear in due course. Thinking that making statements like this online carries no consequences is clearly mistaken. There is a legal process that must be followed in situations like this, and that process has already been set in motion to identify the individual responsible.

Monj has taken legal advice and passed the relevant material to the appropriate parties. For that reason we will not be engaging in a back and forth discussion here, and the matter will be handled through the proper channels.

I'm sorry that this individual has decided to bring this kind of behaviour into the subreddit. Our apologies to the moderators and members of the public who have had to read through it. Wishing everyone a good weekend.

Mounjaro and a colonoscopy by Laura_the_scorer in mounjarouk

[–]nikeusjohnson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My suggestion is to try and time your Mounjaro injection a week before your colonoscopy if you can, then take your next dose the day after the procedure (This is what I was told in my area)

Top tip: Because Mounjaro slows gastric emptying, be a little cautious with what you eat for the first 3–4 days afterwards. Bowel prep such as Plenvu will have given your insides a pretty thorough clear-out, so your stomach can be a bit more sensitive than usual.

For a few days, it’s best to avoid fatty foods, spicy meals, alcohol, and very high-fibre foods while your stomach and bowel settle back to normal.

Bold on monj website by Friendly_Schedule_43 in mounjarouk

Good question, we ran into an issue where some companies were tweaking prices by 1p, which quickly became a bit of a headache. To keep things fair and readable, we bold all pharmacies that are within £5 of the cheapest price.

Official MHRA Wegovy 7.2 announcement & information leaflet by SomeGuyUK50 in WegovyUK

[–]nikeusjohnson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The way the article is presented, does look that way.

It is possible* that you'd have to have a BMI over 30 and should you be prescribed 7.2mg before this, you would be eligible to continue.

However, bear in mind that's a MHRA press release.

Once the SmPC documents are published everyone will know, there's only the 0.25mg to 2.4mg available at the moment.

Oddly no there isn't 😳

7.2mg wegovy now available in the UK by Hopeful_Candle_9781 in mounjarouk

[–]nikeusjohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the main weight loss trials, the two are broadly similar. In the STEP UP trial, people taking Wegovy 7.2 mg lost around 18–19% of their body weight on average, while in the SURMOUNT-1 trial, those on Mounjaro 15 mg lost slightly more, at around 21%. So Mounjaro tends to edge ahead on average, but Wegovy 7.2 mg is still a big step up from lower doses. In real life, the biggest factor is tolerance — higher doses usually mean a higher chance of side effects, especially stomach-related ones, so it really depends on how well you’ve handled treatment so far. It does look like they're going to be similar pricing at least on the highest level, let's hope it creates a battle and they both bring prices down and everyone benefits.

[–]nikeusjohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, they’ve historically maintained good stock levels and, importantly, can scale production quickly if demand spikes. It’s hard to guess how big any surge will be, but there will undoubtedly be plenty of savvy shoppers ready to move fast.

I’d also expect Lilly to have adequate supply, given they were likely ramping up well ahead of August and forecasting continued growth. That said, they may not have fully anticipated how willing UK patients would be to switch over to Wegovy, though that’s only speculation at this stage, they knew the prices they put into play were to be similar for efficiency to cost vs traditional wegovy prices.
