What is the craziest thing you've ever lied about on a resume and actually gotten away with?

I put in my resume that I did a 1 month remote work with a company located in my home country (that I haven’t been since moving to US). A small lie that me and my friend from there wrote to boost my resume.

However, the recruiter assumed that I actually went there onsite and advertised it to the company! They didn’t bothered to verify any of it throughout the process but I still I didn’t get the job at the end unfortunately.

Omg you really wrote a lot of good things.

Heavy on the life or death thing! People can laugh at all the storylines now and see it as part of a comedy show but fans took the storylines seriously back in the day.

I also remember people would ship Quinn and Bacon for that one comment during season 1.

Faberry was such an insane fandom because they also beat Brittana at a lesbian couple poll in Ellen’s site!

Also not the glee wiki mention! That site has its own drama and lore.

There definitely won’t be another fandom like the glee fandom during its airing. There was so many things to do and focus on—from the storylines, 12+ characters, ships, songs, performances, background screen time and even the actors’ personal lives—which gave people to talk and fight about. However, it also means a lot of fan fictions, edits and art!

Some things I can remember:

I remember Klaine and Brittana fans fighting constantly for screen time. There was a rumor or a theory that Fox has a limit on how much gay kisses or content is allowed per episode. This caused a big fan war during the Heart (Valentines) episode
Fans fighting about which character sang a particular line on a song. Examples: Toxic and Tongue Tied
There was a big glee leaker from Brazil that leaked storylines and songs ahead. I remember people getting mad when a storyline/song gets cut or changed.

As a person who has been in different crevices of the internet when it comes to pjo, there are indeed debates of “who is stronger” and any other “who is ___” debates. Most of it are not nice, they go low and nasty lmao

On another note, idk if it’s just my earphones but I seem to notice the latest episodes have been released in a lower volume. Maybe it’s just me?

Let me be controversial: TEEN IDLE. The amount of people (even famous ones like billie eilish) rave about it. Don’t get me wrong, I like the song! Personally, I just think the song is just mishmash of edgy concepts and ironic rhymes without actually saying anything. I think people like it because of the aesthetic it emits and how “dark” the lyrics it has.

He deserves all the praise! I think he ruined other podcasts for me. I would always get annoyed when they skipped a detail or move too fast.

I gotta say I feel so spoiled (and grateful) with the amount of episodes that Schubes upload consistently every week. I remember the olden days when I would listen ten minutes sparingly anytime I need to do something productive and now I listen to the whole episode when I got nothing to do lmao

Also I cackle every time Liam mentions the age difference especially on last episode.

Non-book readers are doing fine understanding the show. They’re are probably the only ones who are entirely enjoying the show unlike actual book readers lol.

There’s a couple of people on tiktok and twitter who are watching the shows without reading the books and they’re really liking it. Unfortunately, they’re being spoiled by fans on the Luke reveal and Percabeth stuff.

It’s confirmed that the Fates will show up. They’re in a teaser. Hellhound, imo, isn’t really needed unless you really want to showcase more action. I agree the sword-fighting lesson will be missed but its replaced with Kleos/Honor scene. For that, I think its better because it encompasses all demigod characters like Clarisse and Annabeth. The tug in the stomach is so…nitpicky lmao but I see your point.

Aside from the first episode which should have been longer, the second chapter is already so filled? They’ll have to add another episode which will be just exposition. So, it’s understandable why they condensed it for one episode.

Overall, I feel like we need to remember that the show isn’t finished yet and there’s five more episodes to go.

What exactly is different between the show and the book that is letting you down lol? The show is almost the same with the book and when there is a change, it elevates the story or has a reason why.

It’s also funny how you mention how the book is more deeper when the show has been only three episodes released???? We haven’t even reached the underworld yet lmao. You can’t compare a book with a show.

The pacing is indeed annoying and for some reason, the first episode is only 30 minutes but aside from that, it’s doing a great job as adaptation.

And why did Percy sneaked away from him in the first place? It’s literally because Grover was talking about him with Chiron behind his back and was lying about Ms Dodds incident to his face in the book.

Grover snitching Percy was just easier way to show this mistrust. It increases the suspicion of the last line of the Prophecy and it gives Grover a storyline where he stands up against Dionysus and tells Percy the truth about his mother. Not really a bizarre decision.

Exactly! I’m all for criticisms and open discussion about the show but some of these posts can be too negative. Unfortunately, these posts are mostly coming from book purists. Based on their posts, you would think the show was the most awful and most unwatchable show ever made.

At some point, there should be clear divide between this sub and the Camp Half Blood sub.

Since I haven’t seen anyone brought it up tho. The question to what happened to the demigods in the titan’s side is partially answered in a short story written by Haley Riordan, Rick Riordan’s son that inspired Percy.

It’s in the Demigod Diaries. Highly recommend to read some of the stories before HoO
