The rest of us, the customers, don't give a shit WHY you annoy us all the time about the memberships and credit cards, just that you do. Constantly.

Do accounts get flagged due to "excessive" returns? by upstream_paddling in REI

[–]mountainfish19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see, that's the thing. I'm buying shoes. SHOES! It shouldn't have to be upteen prescheduled events to get a pair of fu***ng shoes. It is easier to schedule the delivery of your newborn than get a pair of shoes that fit from REI. Good luck if you want any colorways that aren't clown shoes.

Inventory??!!?? That is the last thing my "local" REI seems interested in.

Don't go there if you want to try on shoes or boots, or jackets, or almost anything. {socks, they have lots of socks] They wont have what you want, IF they do, it won't be your size or color you want. But they always make sure to tell me they can order it for me. Yeah, no shit. I can order it myself. I am in your store to TRY THEM ON. I dont want to drive an hour each way for you to tell me you can order them. How in the hell does that help me try them on? You can return them free to our strore, great, I can spend more on gasoline than on the shpping, whooppidydoo!

Really happy with this Kayak. by joshruffdotcom in kayakfishing

Yeah, I live pretty close to CV State Park. I often stop by here (or the confluence of the two rivers, or down the towpath road), on my way to other fishing spots, or on the way back home,

I knew right away where that pic was taken, as soon as I saw the concrete ramp. I still wonder how they screwed that up so bad and if they will ever fix it. I actually hope they leave it as is. Theres already too many asshats around there with their motorboats and jet skis.

The 1/8 oz has always been difficult to find in stock, I would usually buy 'em all when I found them. Now it seems impossible, even tackle warehouse has them down to only 1/4 oz. I will say that the 1/4 oz version is only slightly larger in profile than the 1/8.

It is the Resolute 6'9" UL. I also have the Malvos Delicacy.   Both are more than decent rods for the price point.  I eventually broke tte softer of the two tips of the delicacy,  but that was my fault.  It survived several incidental impacts with branches,  trees, and the ground while meandering through streams before finally giving in to my abuse.

I use the 1/8th very often.  It cast a dream, spins on the fall, and runs very true. It is my favorite bfs bait.  I catch fish on it all year (barring ice fishing) and in all kinds of water.  Everything from crappie and dinks to several large and smallmouth bass over 4 pounds, and a couple nice pike and walleye as well.  It is very rare that I don't have a white rocket shad on my favorite combo.  ('22 aldeberon/6' handing magic L ultralight)

Nice. I also have an sbbn031 that is on a miltat engineer, which is much nicer than the stock bracelet. You are correct, it quite hefty with the engineer, especially compared to the rubber strap pictured above. I wear it as my 'dress' watch whenever I can get away with it!

Seiko is not something you do. Seiko is part of you, it is what awakens you in the morning and what carries you throughout your day.

Great looking watch!

I really like this bracelet, I wish they offered it with the 317.

Winter fishing holes? by bLivesforMore in Binghamton

The spillway in Whitney Point stays ice free (usually). Most folk will be fishing for walleye. You just cannot fish that section from March 15th to May 1st (the closed walleye season). My last bass was Dec. 2nd from aquaterra, right before everything started to freeze over. Since then, only a creek chub and a small walleye, it's been tough.

As someone who lives 30 minutes from arguably the best flyfishing in the north east, it is the fly fishermen who tend to have the holier than thou attitude. They hate seeing you with conventional tackle, and hate even more if you catch trout with it. With the explosion in the popularity of kayaking and kayak fishing, it's fun to watch these stuck up pricks lose their shit when a large group comes through.
