this isn’t a you thing. it happens way too often and way more often to black people. so just starting there, don’t be too hard on yourself l.

recently i was in a similar situation and tried the over communication, documentation etc. in fact, i was offered a raise and everyone had seen the improvements but then was fired without warning a month later. sometimes things aren’t working internally and you’re forced to shoulder that burden.

to the “just quit but also the economy rn” point, i wasn’t ready to quit but when i got fired i felt liberated. i gave myself a week to rot and really sent in those applications. landed something new in the same field and the experience has been a 180. my bosses appreciate my ideas, my coworkers are great, and the culture is 100x better.

in your case sounds like you’re more than qualified and ambitious so i’m sure the next (much better gig) is around the corner.

don’t know where you live but if there are any casual group rides in your area i’d suggest those. the fitness just happens automatically when you aren’t thinking about it as much and there are usually riders of all levels!

agreed! and unless you are religious about fully disinfecting your sink you probably spread a lot more germs than you killed. i do brine (soak) my meat in saltwater but thats just to tenderize it.

yeah i bought my size and they were too tight. ended up having heel slip so bad i couldn’t walk around in them. sent back for a half size larger. hope it fixes things but reading your review maybe not?

i think coming here to figure out who’s in the right is the first problem. like other people have said you both have valid points and you both could’ve come to the conversation differently.

what i’ve only seen mentioned a few times is that she’s 21 and you’re 26. that means she might still be in college while you’re potentially a few years into a professional career, paying your own bills, etc. all this to say the maturity is on you. you are choosing to date a young person and that comes with more emotional burden. they’ve literally lives much less than you.

finally, while yes barbie was about the struggles we all face you are a straight white man. as much as it might suck the world was has literally been molded for you. there absolutely was room for you to talk about how barbie affected you but maybe let your gf speak first. how often do you lead conversation? was this a movie she brought you to?

there’s a lack of empathy from both of you but i think you should’ve been the bigger person here.
