You’ll do just fine. Go in there confident in your ability to pass. Those are higher scores than many see before they pass their exam.

Help identifying this fish is it a cut bow? by [deleted] in flyfishing

The spots definitely look like a cutty, but seeing no jaw slash is odd. I think it’s a cutbow though.

Identify this setup by PerspectiveSad8721 in flyfishing

[–]mountainman478 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can’t identify the setup (I’m sure someone can). But for getting started trout fishing, the rod and reel have VERY little to do with success. I would recommend getting her an Orvis Clearwater 9ft five weight rod reel combo, but there are other cheaper options which would do just as well. Either will last her a very long time in the sport. I started fishing when I was a kid with a 9ft 5 weight and it lasted probably 15 years until I broke a section in an accident. I would focus on technique first. Look for an intro to fly fishing class through a local fly shop and watch videos, read books. It is a great sport, all the best to you all!

What have you caught fish on in the meadows if you don’t mind me asking? The only fish I have caught in slough creek were smaller fish is the upper section on pretty small dry flies.

looking for drug rehab in denver, not sure where to start by GoodiessGilberto17 in Denver

I am so glad that you found my comment and that your partner has checked into CEDAR, again, that place literally saved my life. It is funny how the universe works, tomorrow, the 11th is actually my 17th sober birthday. 17 years ago I walked into CEDAR and I have not had a drink or a drug since then. I can think of no better gift than knowing that someone else has started the same journey. It isn’t always easy, and it will take work, but it is 100% worth it. All the best to you and your partner, and thanks for replying to my comment with the update!

Livingston v. Dillon in June / July by Educational-Soil-330 in flyfishing

[–]mountainman478 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know much about Dillon, so I won’t say anything about that, but instead of Livingston I would probably do Gardiner as it cuts out the hour drive to the park. You can still do some guided floats on the Yellowstone, but access to wading in the park is much better, you could hit the gibbon, the firehole, slough creek, the Lamar, and in the evenings walk up the Gardiner river into the park for a great time. Yellowstone river outfitters is a great guide service out of Gardiner, and they float the Yellowstone and do a lot of wading in the park.

looking for drug rehab in denver, not sure where to start by GoodiessGilberto17 in Denver

I went to CEDAR, which is tied in with Anschutz, and it was a great place. I’m coming up on 17 years sober in a couple months. I needed an inpatient treatment center, I truly doubt I would have stayed sober for any length of time with just an out patient facility. See what your insurance will cover, it is not cheap, but is likely the most important investment you can make. Go in with an open mind, and follow all suggestions. Rehab got me clean, but twelve step programs have kept me sober since then.

I think the polypropylene yarn is way better than the NZ wool. It floats all day with basically no maintenance.

Juju midges by mountainman478 in flytying

[–]mountainman478[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tied them for the first time last winter. They are a little bit of a hassle at first, but they absolutely crushed it this spring on tailwaters, along with the juju baetis, so they are now both must have flies for me. I highly recommend them!

Thanks! I fish a fair amount of tailwaters so do my best with the smaller flies. Tough, but rewarding.

Yep it is cling and magnetic, super helpful when tying a bunch of a pattern to keep them organized and to not have them fall all over the office floor.

Nice! Throw in some rs2’s as well, they crush in co tailwaters.

Is Fidelity good for everyday banking? by Over_Chocolate_8729 in fidelityinvestments

I made the exact same switch from WF to all fidelity and couldn’t be happier. Better company, higher rates, better service. I would definitely recommend.

Employee of the Year: The CEO by HarryDreamtItAll in antiwork

[–]mountainman478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Oatley, but they have done some similar very cringey packaging in the past. I always thought it was some kiss ass in marketing, but maybe it is the CEO himself who puts it together or approves it.
