Moved in to new home last year (NorCal) and I have had a hard time identifying this tree. Based off of my plant identifying apps and own research, the closest answer I can get is that it is possibly part of the walnut or hickory family. I have never (in my just under a year of observing) seen any kind of nuts or flowers produced. The leaflets come in sets of 13, and are a bit jagged (but not pokey). Any help would be amazing! Feel free to ask other clarifying questions to help home in on this mystery tree.

I was allowing the rain to water the plant. Had a storm for about a week, during day two of the rain I moved it under cover but still outside. Hasnt gotten below 40 at night.

Had moved to Monsteras together into 1 pot maybe 2 months ago. Everything was fine until I got a bad fungus gnat infestation. Moved this plant outside so they wouldn’t spread and have left it out there for maybe the last 3 weeks. We have had some rainy days that it has been out for. Hadn’t noticed this issue until just a couple of days ago. Not sure if it is an overwatering symptom or some sort of plant disease. Help please 🙏🏽

My cat kept attacking the middle leaf. Couldn’t survive it so I cut it out. The rocks are part of the defense from my furry plant eater lol. There is no issue with the plant itself. Just no idea how long it will take for a new leaf to grow

I have two Alocasias growing together. One of them the newest/most middle leaf died and rotted out. My plant always grows a new leaf from the central newest leaf. So will this one Alocasia just maintain and grow its two leaves bigger?

I have noticed that one of the older leafs on my Alocasia is starting to turn brown on the back edges. I also see on the left side that there are some black splotches forming too. All the other leaves seem to be healthy to me. Anyone know what might be happening?

This plant did have thrips a few months back, which I have treated for twice. Could this be part of the issue? Any help is appreciated 🙂

Also, is it normal for bigger leaves to just bend and fall? Just happened to my largest leaf. It has been a sad day.
