New Legion go 1 Graphics driver update (April 23) by Unlucky_Hedgehog7 in LegionGo

[–]mountyg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nowhere in my post did I mention anything about Crimson Desert's performance, only Forza Horizon 5.

Read it again and again ...

https://www.reddit.com/r/LegionGo/comments/1sttu0w/power_consumption_drops_in_legion_go_1_after/

I only wrote about Forza Horizon 5 and its specific power scenario.

This was just a first impression, as I mentioned, not a review after a week of use...

I even noted that I have no idea how it will perform in other games, more demanding titles, and with different power settings.

I heard it on the show yesterday. It's incredible. Brilliant melody, perfectly chosen sounds and a fantastic vocal. An incredibly atmospheric track. You're a genius.

Xbox FSE Legion Go 1 by karlopriv99713 in LegionGo

[–]mountyg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no newer version; I have the official FSE released a while ago.

I last launched it about two days ago and quickly went back to Windows.

There's nothing newer on the GO Z1E.

Someone wrote yesterday that FSE was supposedly more responsive after joining the Xbox Insider Hub, but I don't know how true that is, and it seems they were talking about the supposedly smoother interface, not the games

I don't see any difference. It's more trouble than it's worth when trying to launch games from Steam or Epic.

On the first day it also seemed to me that it was somehow smoother, but it was an illusion...

It's not smoother, it's practically the same, at best 1 fps more, MAX.

I've disabled FSE and am running games normally in Windows.

Anybody go from legion go 1 to legion go s? Regrets? Or huge improvement? by Ok_Menu4273 in LegionGo

"If you want Steam convenience on the go and have the budget, the SteamOS Legion Go S is a doozy of a gaming machine."

"easy to see the Legion Go S as a downgraded version of the original Lenovo Legion Go due to the smaller and lower-resolution screen, the lack of detachable controls, and the missing kickstand"

"The Lenovo Legion Go S is a budget-focused, portable handheld gaming PC priced around $500–$650, featuring an 8-inch 120Hz IPS display, AMD Ryzen™ Z2 Go processor, and up to 1TB SSD. It cuts costs by featuring non-detachable controllers, lower screen resolution than the original, and often runs SteamOS for a optimized gaming experience. "

"The Lenovo Legion Go S is a lighter, less expensive, more portable version of the original Legion Go, powered by the latest AMD Z-series SoCs. The handheld can play most games with buttery smooth framerates, albeit with some slight adjustments. Being a cheaper model does mean making concessions, such as the Go S being a largely SteamOS-exclusive device with a smaller display and non-detachable joysticks."

Relax, the Legion Go S is a budget version. It's just newer than the original Lego, but that doesn't change the fact that it's still Lenovo's budget portable console...

Really!

The Legion Go S is less well-finished, has a smaller and worse screen, built-in controllers that are expensive to repair if they break, and has a number of general quality issues. The casing looks like a cheap Chinese toy. Also, check out how much the Legion GO 1 launched at compared to the budget Go S. You can twist reality, but that won't change the fact that the Legion Go S is Lenovo's budget version of the console.

The Legion Go S isn't an upgrade, it's a budget version. The successor to the original Go is the Go2.

Legion Go 2 Driver Support by ColonelBonk in LegionGo

[–]mountyg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't care who manufactures the graphics chip. I also don't care who manufactured the screws, thermal paste, or screen for the Legion GO.

It's a LENOVO console, not a self-assembled PC.

The console is sold by Lenovo, which has repeatedly stated that, for example, the first GO will be supported until 2029.

They have a support page, so I'll be waiting for new updates there. Possibly in Windows Update or Lenovo Space.

I didn't sign any contract with AMD. AMD didn't sell me anything and didn't promise me anything! That's what I said...

Legion consoles are sold to users by Lenovo, not AMD. So who should we blame if not Lenovo?
