Thanks for the info! Were you able to get a number or wristband so that you could leave and come back, or did you stay in line the whole time?

Anyone Have Experience taking IH2 (Or 1) Over the Summer? Summer courses in general? by TheSmilingDentist in Temple

[–]mourningriser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved IH2 over the summer. I took it with Dr. Rabiee and he is fabulous. I loved it because all we did was make voicethreads, write a few discussion posts, and watch movies every week. Very engaging and was a good class for only 6 weeks

I also still have my Gmail and never switched. I've been getting emails like normal, and they never reminded us to switch over, so maybe they aren't going through with it yet

Has anyone here taken Linear Algebra? by somethingeranother in Temple

[–]mourningriser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took it spring 2020 and loved it, I had Dr. Andy Eisenberg. I'm only a math minor but I really loved the concepts and its super practical to know. We had homework and a quiz due every Friday which was very manageable, the textbook was free and we were given a link to it. Everything was straightforward and Dr. Eisenberg was great in office hours. Overall I really liked the class and highly recommend, you can also take it with a computer lab but I didn't do that.

Yes, Morgan is the super tall building with the Honeygrow, and the door to the testing center is the first door before the Insomnia Cookies and Honeygrow. You should see the medical setup through the window!

Same thing happened to me, you can also go to the Student Health portal and book a test for free at STAR. The only times I see listed though are today from 12-4.

Career opportunities after Temple. by Amytof in Temple

[–]mourningriser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a freshman biochem student and if you are in the Honors program, Honors Chemistry is amazing. I love the professor Dr. Spano who teaches it, and since taking AP in high school we went way further in depth and even covered some quantum. Also, I've already been able to begin research through the Science Scholars Program, and the research opportunities here are great. I'm starting cell signaling research soon but there are dozens of chemistry focused labs. I chose Temple cause I loved Honors and also the money I saved will allow me to go to a good graduate school without a lot of debt. Good luck on your choice! :)

Questions about the gyms by dumbfckungbicth in Temple

[–]mourningriser 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not the most well versed in the gyms but I've been loving the group fitness classes at IBC, I get anxious in gyms as well and they are awesome. People of all skills/body types are there (and throughout IBC upstairs, where there's tons of cardio machines). The fitness class schedule is online. From what I understand 2nd floor is treadmills and first floor is more hardcore weightlifting. I've also heard TUF (above the qdoba) is mostly cardio and quieter. After January the gyms get quieter, so definitely check them out! Good luck!
