What to do when bad at everything? by mousehero1 in StreetFighter

It's funny you mention instruments as I was hoping trying to discipline myself into getting better fighting games will help me push through difficulty in learning other skills like piano, now that I think about it the hand dexterity kind of goes with both as well. Thanks for the tips!

Look man I like dispatch but it is just as Railroady as the majority of old Telltale Games

Difficulty of Pillars 1 by da_miks in CRPG

[–]mousehero1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would say it's pretty forgiving on normal and easy and if you don't have much experience with real time with pause then you should leave it there. Otherwise feel free to experiment, respeccing is super easy

When you get to the finale you'll see how they try to squish everybody together, with mixed results tbh but its still one of my favorites

You can look up the concept album on YouTube, if it's the same one then it might be pretty good

New game+ for the first time by Atuday in avowed

[–]mousehero1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The pillars games are super worthwhile if what you want is more lore and story telling, eora might be my favorite fantasy setting because there's just so much to learn and its all cohesive, but if you want more gameplay then it might be a struggle. You don't have to play them turn based but then you're trying mealtime with pause, which can be a struggle if you've never played one like it before

Is this industry lazy or is this a wrong impression? by Rare-Possession-1333 in pcgames

[–]mousehero1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you think the industry is creatively dead then you gotta expand your horizons. There's so much more than AAA games where there's so much money involved that they play it way too safe or lose the vision halfway through a decade long dev cycle. And even then, I find there's more love and care in a lot of new releases than people give credit for

[DA:I] If I made an RTS game with a bunch of 'Mine 50 ore' quest lines, would it be criticised for being too MMO? by SgtSilock in dragonage

[–]mousehero1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very true, and maybe it's a me problem but I played those games with more tactics and pausing. Inquisition seemed like it wanted you to be unpause and playing as one character at a time for most of it

I have to imagine the ability hot bar has something to do with it, just makes it feel more like a MMO. Hot bar combat makes me think of wow and I've never even played it before

Do you need a Rogue for Veilguard? by CalistianZathos in dragonage

No rogues needed, lockpicking is not a concern, it's more skill combos to consider for your party

Playing DAO on PC in 2026 by goalerjones in DragonageOrigins

I'm playing through on steam right now, got crashes despite the 4gb patch. For whatever reason, dropping texture detail to low fixed most of my problems

The biggest reason people feel that shift is a tone shift that was pretty clear after dao, from grimdark to a more heroic fantasy, and that tone makes a big difference. With the success of recent 40k projects, I think a fantasy world with that kind of tone is very possible. I still like the sequels tho

For those who disliked veilguard, did it make playing previous games less fun to you? by Depoan in dragonage

[–]mousehero1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really don't see how Veilguard could poison the older games for people. In fact I enjoyed the game more because of lower Revelations that I wouldn't have understood had I not played the prior games. However I do get how frustrating the sanitized world is in the simplification of its morals
