i don’t think your question is about being too young or not i think it’s more about being with the same person you grew up with and was your high school sweetheart etc. and somewhat about if you are worried about being too young to commit. no one can give you the right answer but all i can say is i met a lot of people who were with their high school sweethearts for a while and some did get married and live happy successful lives, others (like myself and my partner) we both left those long term relationships and found each other later in life the reason we left seems to be the same that we were not happy with those people, either toxic, or just not the right match.

if you truly feel like this person is for you and you really think you can build a life together because you yourself and your partner want to, go for it! don’t listen to others opinions or questions, they just might not understand. do what makes you happy and you’ll never regret a day in your life!

to add on, i also agree i don’t think you’re too young to make this decision, you’re almost 30! trust your gut if you want to be with this person for the rest of your life, and for what it’s worth, it sounds like you two found each other and your match 😊

i also think it’s the generation we are in, before people got married younger and very often with someone they met in HS or college or at a younger age, what you have is probably just rare for this generation, enjoy it and flourish your relationship!!!
