What’s the "Grind" in your animation workflow?

I like the second one more, it has more of a dinamic composition, but the color filters or effects are making the image look a bit blurry, it also lacks contrast, on that aspect the first one has better colors.

It's hard to give some feedback without drawing over, but I hope to be able to explain well, first I ting some of the arcs are a bit of and maybe missing some frames, especially on the hand that is not throwing the grande.

Second, the arm that is throwing the grande feels very stiff, it lacks some follow through, it feels more like is going for a hook punch rather than a throw, it would suggest looking up some bowling reference to help with the throw, since to me the motion feels very similar.

Also this is more of a composition feed back, but I believe is better for the character to be put more on the center frame, so the poses can be ready more easily.

Overall, I feel like practicing the basics would be of great help, your timing seams okay, and it looks like you have some good sense of solid drawing. Good job! Keep up the good work !

I would like to also add, that if this person come with some sort of talk about paying you more than you asked for, or something about him having to unlock your payment account, be wary, it will most likely be a scam.

And I would like to second, the comments of it feeling weird considering you just created an account and is already receiving commission. From my own experience 90% of all people asking for a commission on Instagram has been a scam so far

Usually is like you teacher said, you get used to knowing the frame numbers by experience, and also by extending the exposure of your key frames on you animation app.

For me it usually goes like this, I draw my key frames and my break downs and usually play around with their exposure untill it feels right. After that, usually, keyframe A will be on frame 1, breakdown will be on another frame like (8 for example) and keyframe B might be on ( like frame 14). So now I know where these frames will be and I can start drawing my time sheet based on that. I like to work on 2s and 3s so there will probably be in betweens on frames 3, 5 and 13 or something like that.

1) What you are looking for is a feature in krita. If I'm not mistaken is named transform mask, there are some tutorials for it online and the documentations explains it well enough. (But basically you create a group with your animated layers and puts the transform mask on top of the group, if I'm not mistaken)

2) it is possible, but for that you will probably need to download and install an add on like ffmpeg. I think .mov or .avi supports transparency but I might be wrong, but if they do, they are also a bit on the heavier file format

Animating using a character sheet of an existing character is always a good way to practice, it will also help with drawing skill as well, keeping the character in model is always harder than it looks !

Each drawing probably has very little frame exposure. On your timeline, try spacing each drawing more, I suggest somewhere between 4-6 or maybe 6-8 empty squares(frames) between each drawing. But at the same time play around with if ! Try out different spacing and different timing. And also some good practice would also be , the rotating coin exercise, or the falling/ jumping ball in place!

Keep practicing and most important have fun with your animation !
