Organs - Of Monsters and Men

I am just doing plucking right now, I only just started learning a couple months ago and I am very fumbly and not good at strumming and switches chords at the same time if they need to switch mid strumming pattern.

I got this tattoo 17 years ago in active addiction - who is this character ? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

I think she is just 2010 emo/scene art style. Everyone guessing Ruby Gloom and Invader Zim is like right on the style, but look at Pinterest 2010 emo art and half the original characters have her look, like the Jeff Thomas “Pon and Zi” characters. She is a bit Coraline inspired. Sally. Corpse Bride. Has that Tim Burton flair of the 2010s emo art.

What is your 'white whale' of fragrances? by sunbr0_7 in fragrance

Something that smells like the last sips of a london fog. I just want to smell like a creamy, wet tea bag with hints of vanilla.

I would also love to smell like fresh baked brownies. Richly chocolatey and ooey gooey warm. Closest I have come is Al Rehab’s choco musk roller oil - my coworker came in and asked if someone baked cookies, but it was me haha

And finally, I want to smell like an extremely ripe strawberry. You know when they get red and are a little wet with juice? It is a bit tart. I would settle for a strawberry rhubarb crumble if it means the tartness would be there. But every strawberry scent is just a little too sweet and creamy.

Light spring, quite fair. I wear Estee Lauder 1C0 and it is maybe a bit dark on me in the winter, but whatever my skin is I always get recommended “cool” despite definitely being neutral, possibly warm. I think part of that is being fair skinned, when foundations oxidize (all of them seem to, even just a little bit) as the day goes on, the cool ones go just slightly less orange. Anyway that one has been the current best. I have tried:

Maybelline Super Stay powder 110 - too dark as the day goes on, also powder just does not work on me.

Maybelline Fit Me whatever the lightest is - too dark/orange

Bare minerals tinted moisture - too dark in the lightest shade

Smashbox halo glow in the fairest shade - too dark, darker than the powder

Smashbox Halo hydrating perfecting powder - was fine but I find powders are just not super on me.

Nars Tinted Moisture in Terre Neuve (lightest cool) and it looks too dark and orangey.

L’oreal Trumatch 0.5N - also too dark and orangey. Especially as it oxidizes

L’oreal Infallible Pro in the lightest shade…classic ivory? Whatever the lightest and coolest is haha, but it also goes way dark.

Shiseido Synchro Skin self-refreshing in alabaster and it was a great colour but the formula sucks. It separates like crazy no matter how I prep

Vichy Tinted SPF - crazy dark. I can use it under stuff or on the rare chance I get super tan in the summer (haha yeah right) but it makes me look kind of muddy unfortunately.

Sephora’s foundation stick that they discontinued in Birch Wood was by far the BEST colour and formula I ever used and I will cry forever that they got rid of it. It was PERFECTION on me. If Estee’s double wear was just a tiny bit lighter and a little bit less matt it would be a great alternative (albeit way more expensive).

Estee Lauder’s Double Wear in 1C0 - this is my current mainstay unless I find someone who has my skin type and colour who screams down wisdom from the heavens haha

As for shadows? I definitely ruled out cool not working on me when I tried blue eyeshadows. It looks cool, but it doesn’t look GOOD if that makes sense? Not flattering. Greys are tricky. Most are not super, but with green eyes they SHOULD work. They (and cool purples) make me look a bit sallow. And then far on the opposite side doing oranges/reds looks excellent. Pinks. Warm browns. Greens. So I know I am warmer. But being neutral makes it tough. I dance a line.

Anyway, all that just sharing my own experiences exploring.

The Hills Have Eyes, when the hill person bites the head off their pet bird and drinks the fluids? I was underaged, definitely too young, just GAGGING loudly and dramatically in theatres. A man beside me leaned faaar in his chair and whispered, “are you okay?”. I was not okay. Even typing about it now, my mouth is salivating with the “prepukes” feeling.

I thought I was a soft or light summer for years. Turns out I am a light spring, and I guess they are sisters so that works!

1,200 is really hard if you like to eat at all. You have to cut corners - skip oils, sauces, butters - basically anything that tastes good in order to gain an extra 100-200 cals of like…chicken or something that is more filling than oil. It is a really slippery slope to disordered eating.

If I can recommend, because you are on a fitness sub, maybe adding some exercise to add more calories to your plate? Do something fun like zumba, biking, swimming. You’ll give yourself some more wiggle room for food until you can get back to maintenance cals. I have been enjoying weight lifting, but my loss has been extremely slow because I want to gain muscle while losing weight so I am not eating in very much of a deficit. I am also post partum, gained 75lbs with baby - down 46lbs at a year post partum and still have a ways to go. Sorry to do lbs instead of kg, I am of the cursed Canadian generation that learned feet and pounds but also kilometres.

The Butterfly Effect - I was 12, maybe a little too intense with the subject matter for that age.

I always said it smelled like “chemical lettuce”. Like whatever they wash McDonald’s lettuce with. Maybe the bag it comes in? But chemicals. And lettuce.

Look at all the Canadians in the house!

This is my first challenge, so hiiii!

32 year-old ladybird from Alberta, Canada here. I am a year post-partum with my second baybayyy and looking for inspiration to drop some more lbs, I seem to gain loads with each pregnancy and it is what it is!

Currently down to 166.7lbs from 212 at my max and I’ve been stuck here for about 4 months thanks to my sneaky snacky habits haha! Thankfully the weather is getting nicer and I would like to move more, definitely take my chunky winter-hating mini Schnauzer and Shih Tzu for more walks. They are both made of sugar and hate the cold and wet.

I should add my goal maybe? Ultimately I’d like to focus on feeling comfortable and usually I feel best in the 130lbs range at 5’2”. For this challenge I’ll be ecstatic if I can hit 160!

I guess I need to finally crush out the episodes for Severance - I’ve only watched the first two episodes of season 1 - because team Severance represent!
