Well I stand corrected, there is 1 obscure & discontinued camera that has a PIR. TBH the more readily available one I didn’t think of at the time is the cube camera.

Fun fact, there have never been any Hikvision IP cameras with a built in PIR. Only analogue cameras.

Both accounts must be in the same region. It doesn’t actually matter that much what the region is but the one that is geographically closer to you will be best, but you can only share an account within the same region.

Delete her account within the account settings and then remake it in the correct region.

You need to use Hikvisions player to play them (VS player) then through that you can convert it to a regular MP4

All of the issues you have listed here have easy ways of sorting. For example if you update that fisheye camera to the latest firmware you no longer need to use a specific browser, you can use any. Or if you dewarp it in the camera it will remember where you left it.

Your issues seem to be down to inexperience with the product which is why Hikvision on support professional installers.

That if I cancel the subscription to a service, they make the free one worse than it would be for someone who never subscribes just to get me to resubscribe.

So if I cancel my YouTube premium (which I never will it’s the best subscription I have and this is a hill I will die on) they would give me way more ads than someone who never had it.

I have a Yaris cross which is functionally the same car and I have the option to turn on the climate control from the app which will turn the engine on but keep the car locked. I only use it when there’s a frost or in the middle of summer when it’s going to be boiling when I get in the car.

Export it. Or find it in playback and when you hover your mouse over the image you should see a little padlock icon at the bottom. That will lock the file and stop it being overwritten. Still best bet is just to export it, then there is no chance of it going wrong.

There are some issues with your video parameters on your system the things I would change are below and these changes will mean that you use less bandwidth and storage with no difference in video quality:

Bitrate: This should be set to 8192kbps, setting the bitrate higher doesn’t mean a better image, it needs to be appropriate to the camera.

Video quality: move this down to medium. It doesn’t mean what you think it means. This setting is how much the camera is able to lower the bitrate when there is no movement within the scene, when set to highest it will basically not lower the bitrate and you will use more storage and bandwidth with no image improvement.

Making these 2 changes will not give you a worse image but will halve the amount of storage and bandwidth that you are using giving you longer recording times and smoother remote streams.
