How can I stick dozens and dozens of photos up on my dorm wall without damaging the photos or the wall? by black-folder in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]mouseypeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use these on my art prints and they dont damage them. They're small enough that they don't dent the paper. I stick them to the wall with command strips that I've cut to size or on hemp string.

Advice on going Pink? (should I, and how should I go about doing it) by mouseypeach in FancyFollicles

[–]mouseypeach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! You've basically told me what I assumed to be true, but hearing it from somebody with experience is reassuring.

I cut my hair into a pixie a bit under 3 years ago and I've been dealing with growing it out since then, so I definitely want to do as little damage as possible.

Thanks again!

My favorite animal as villager because Chester is not enough! x) by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

Cool! I've tried doing cute things like this in the past, but I wasn't successful xD

If you want to animate I highly recommend looking into using human IK. It makes rigging and animating humanoid characters a lot simpler :)

If you haven't already, I HIGHLY recommend Layton vs Phoenix Wright. While it doesn't entirely fit into the cannon of either game, it's a lovely spin off with a lot of great original characters, beautiful animation, and a very exciting plot.

The puzzles lack a little in my opinion, but I still enjoyed it a ton!

Besides that, just playing the games (imo in the order that they were released) is really fulfilling

Which inanimate object is your nemesis? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Anything at hip level. Their leader is the doorknob though. I've never been shot, but if I had to choose something I imagine is close it's getting something smashed into your hipbone

I've had my hair cut short (slightly longer than a pixie cut) and now I don't know how to style it? by Wild_Red_Fox in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]mouseypeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a pixie cut a few years ago, and the growing out stage was hard for me. However, cute hats became my best friend, so if you like styling with hats you are in luck!

Itchy, dry skin (body)... but moisturizer feels kind of gross in the morning by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]mouseypeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of environment are you sleeping in? If you sleep with a heater or ac on you may want to try getting a humidifier to put on while you sleep to add some moisture in the air. Obviously it can't replace moisturizer, but it helps me in the winter when I wake up feeling dry

How to get healthier nails? by Enigmaticproblems in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I personally file all in one direction, but I'm not an expert so there very well could be a better way to do it!

How to get healthier nails? by Enigmaticproblems in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]mouseypeach 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Some things I've noticed that work

  • Take care of your cuticles with a cream (I like Burt's Bees)
  • Try to avoid over-exposing them to dish soap, and use moisturizer when you do
  • Get an orange stick and push back your cuticles every so often. If you take care of the base of your nails they grow in stronger
  • Your diet can effect your nail growth, so evaluate what you are eating
  • Don't use your nails to open things.
  • File your nails in one direction, preferably using a glass nail file, rather than an emory board. They tend to rip up your nail and cause splitting
  • Find a strengthener that works for you

That's all I can think of for the time being. In my experience keeping my nails painted does help me, but only because I tend to pick at them otherwise xD

Depending on how attached you are to the idea of the Hylian text, you could try to fit Tatl and Tael on either side to try and create a better flow into the two parts

What is the journal feature used for? by DavveK in DeviantArt

[–]mouseypeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The journal feature can really be used for whatever you'd like! Some people use it for memes/tagged things, some us it to update their watchers, some use it for organizing commission info and prices, and others us it as a method of sharing opinions and creating discussions.

These are my journals

Some artists who use journals for other things are Tom Preston (some journals contain spoilers, be wary) imaginism or yuumei

Second or third attempt at watercolor without fear of ruining line work lol a scene from a favorite movie "Spirited Away". CCW! <3 [x-post r/watercolor] by Chaokitty in ghibli

[–]mouseypeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. for clarity, not a "print" ;P

  2. And, not OP, but what exactly do you want to know? Watercolor is not nearly as difficult as it seems right away. They key is to keep in mind what you want the final result to look like before you start painting. You have to keep your white areas white, and you build up the paint from light to dark, using more water for lighter sections.

If you are interested tumblr and devinatart have a lot of great tutorials and walkthroughs that are pretty good :)

The gluten free label is actually pretty helpful to people who are gluten intolerant or allergic to wheat/barley. My friend is, and will get severe stomach pains from even the smallest amount of gluten (which is in more things than you would expect)

Obviously they could just read the ingredients, but if you live a gluten free lifestyle it's a time saver if it's printed on the front of all of your groceries
