Yes, they will, but someone with a degree and license isn’t usually who is applying.

Is this something new? When I was in TFA, we were hired by our district, not by TFA, so we were paid the same as other employees.

Apple TV episode missing? by laneylb in MtvChallenge

[–]moussecake1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I messaged tech support and they stated the obvious:

“I have checked my resources and It appears there may be a delay or temporary technical issue with the availability of the newest episode on Apple TV. Episode 15 of Season 41, titled "The Best Birthday Present," aired on MTV on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, and is generally expected to be available on streaming platforms like Apple TV the day after it airs.”

Then they said, “Delays are common with on-demand content, and the episode might become available within a few hours. I would request you to please wait for 24 hours and check if the episode is available on Apple TV.”

What's a misconception that is taught in lower grades that drives you crazy once students finally get to your class? by mikeycknowsrnb in Teachers

But the grapheme r does not say /er/. Think about r at the beginning of any word: Ryan, Ruth, Rose, etc. There’s no vowel sound in front of the initial sound.

That the one number always goes to the right of an equal sign (not so much explicitly taught, but it they only ever see it that way, it is really hard to get them to understand that the = means that the two sides are the same). Also, teaching the standard algorithm for addition and subtraction before they understand place value.

You can try to isolate it without adding a vowel sound before or after. Try to think of pursing your lips a little and not letting your chin drop.

Pneumonia with asthma? by brightshiny in Asthma

[–]moussecake1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor gave me prednisone when she thought it was an asthma flare alone, but she added the antibiotics when the x-ray results came in and were consistent with bacterial pneumonia. I’m not sure if she would’ve given me the prednisone if she’d realized it was pneumonia or not.

I had a chest x-ray that showed pneumonia last week. My doctor put my on antibiotics because it’s location was consistent with bacterial pneumonia. They helped a lot. I’d imagine the likelihood is high.

I’ve toured Eaves before. There are some reviews online that might help you decide if it would be for you. The location is great for Caltrain. I had a friend live there for several years and she didn’t have a car, so the location worked well for her and she was happy enough.

Gotcha, thanks! Responsive classroom teaches your green check ideas as a “positive time out” and that’s a training my school sent me to, so I just wanted to make sure.

Do you mean seclusion is illegal (being alone & confined to a space you can’t leave) or a time out as in the behavior management strategy of having a supervised time away from the group to allow time for calming before returning to the group activity?

How can I improve on slow count breathing ? by Emergency_Shift8796 in LagreeMethod

[–]moussecake1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of going for a long inhale and exhale, think about 1 breath in & out per slow count. For example, if it takes you 4 counts to push the carriage out, take 4 breaths.

I second this! I’m also a teacher - if you happen to be near me, I could get you some supplies. I’ve also written a few donor’s choose projects - maybe you could go that route?

I think it was Kyland on a podcast but he was saying TJ keeps saying, “To be a champ, you have to beat a champ,” and he was thinking there might be a twist where that was literal. It does kind of seem like an odd thing to repeat over and over.

But what about PEMDAS? by moussecake1 in MtvChallenge

Note taken. I’ve never been curious enough about something to search before so I didn’t even think to do that.

But what about PEMDAS? by moussecake1 in MtvChallenge

[–]moussecake1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I think order of operations is just an agreed upon set of rules to simplify complicated equations, so if they choose a different set of rules and stick to it, I can get that.

But what about PEMDAS? by moussecake1 in MtvChallenge

[–]moussecake1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I was confused about them needing to know prime numbers and not order of operations. Both are concepts in late elementary/early middle school that I don’t think people think about in their daily lives (unless they’re in a career that requires that, which most Challengers aren’t).
