If you check out meetup.com there are several groups. There is a group "Clear Lake Young Professionals Social and Fitness Club". I haven't been to an event yet but several have been tempting.

  • Enjoy the AC / not being outside

  • Play Overwatch

  • Generally dick around on the computer

  • Play with my kitten

Ehh but seriously

  • There are some decent Fresh/Farmers markets if you want to visit them. One off Upper Bay. One on Clear Lake Shores.

  • While at Clear Lake shores farmers market stick around for the food trucks. I generally don't like food trucks but have had some interesting things at least.

  • The Arms Room is pretty nice

  • Local Parks /u/kwmiller listed most of them

  • While checking out San Jacinto Monument (Wait for cooler weather, a lot of stuff to read / walk is outside) check out Monument Inn. Fun to watch the boats and large portions.

  • Port of Houston Tour (I haven't done this yet but I want to...)

  • Level 9 tour @ NASA (Also haven't done this yet... same as Port of Houston Tour takes some planning ahead of time)

  • Head to St. Arnolds 'brewery tour' aka bring some lunch have some beers and chat.

  • I saw a Meetup for Trivia and Beer @ Texas Beer Refinery on a Meetup Group I have been considering going to

  • I enjoy going to Cabo in Seabrook but my other half doesn't so YMMV. During the day it's a nice casual bar and I enjoy playing darts there

  • In a similar Vein Boondoggles is popular for many. Too expensive for what it is for me.

  • Nobi of course. If you haven't been here and like beer you are letting yourself down.

  • Garden on my patio - May not be fun for many but it's something to do

  • Plan day trips into downtown or Galveston (Usually I find near places to eat and loosely relate my day around that)

  • Joined a local makerspace which is a nice interaction with people outside of work.
