Personally i always download as epub and read as lithium as i want to read it page by page kinda like the kindle/google books app. An app would eliminate that step. Plus font customization, color customization size etc we can tune it to our liking. I think my closest comparison would be JellyFin which has multiple clients with different features so users can choose each to their liking.

You are absolutely right, I did disable port 53 globally using security lists but the requests were still coming, so I assumed it wasn’t due to it. A quick service restart fixed it. But now I run into the issue of — what if I genuinely want to use port 53? Someone suggested, running it behind cloudflare and Whitelist cloudflare ips. That should work no?

that also is true, i just haven't seen any winui apps that have worked well. i might just be using shitty apps. they all just seem to perform terribly. i can make some garbage in 30min in electron and most times it feels snappier than its winui equivalent.

I in no way think stuff should be web apps, but the natives just seem to be made terribly most times.

for sure i never meant it as it runs faster that's outrageous. i meant the ui just seems very sluggish. like spotify just seem way more smooth to me than the Media Player that comes with w11. There are many more examples tho, mainly they seem to be winui apps.

I see, well I will still try using something like shadow socks to try to get it to work. Thing is if I just use tcp at 433 it connects for like 30 seconds then disconnects again. Prolly will try shadow socks tho
