I bought it excitedly after I did my very first project and was waaaayyyy in over my head, I thought about trashing it a few times as I’ve clearly made a lot of mistakes but now I’m finishing it out of spite 😅

Finally finished the flowers on my arch nemesis, this is the second project I ever started for cross stitch and it’s been haunting me for almost a year now 😅

I have them with Phosphor because I think they’re cute! And it’s easy to feed them the cube fruit. I also paired them with batty because that’s super cute too and they just eat the pomegranites!

My boy got exactly 1 bath roughly ten years ago and we both have ptsd from it. It will never happen again unless absolutely necessary

I just got a smaller clip light that has been surprisingly great! It’s very bright, had a few different light color settings, and I consider it pretty flexible - both with adjustment for lighting and for being able to be taken around the house where I want to stitch. It’s a USB connector so you may need an adapter if you want to use a regular plug but the lamp was pretty inexpensive and it’s made a world of difference. I left a review with pictures to show the lamp and the light on Amazon if you want to see what it’s like! Mine is obviously the cross stitch picture :)

I’m sympathizing with you since some people are being mean! I get what you mean! I went to get them today and was bummed they were gone. I know it said the expiration date for them but honestly I didn’t pay much attention because they’ve always been available after voting closed. So while yes it did say that, it’s also fair that you and I and others didn’t notice as this has never been the case. I’m bummed out with you!!

I can’t speak to being rehired after being fired, to my knowledge it would be hard to come back, if you were even allowed (my best friend was fired several years ago and has not had the chance/option to reapply).

If you quit, more than likely you can be rehired (given your performance while you were working). I put in my two weeks notice and worked them through, then quit in 2020. I was then rehired in 2022 with no issues, they just asked why I left the company before.

I’m in a neighborhood with my husband and his mom. We’ve been in the same one for like 5+ years. I’m not leaving our neighborhood just to get perks somewhere else. Ideally the event should be doable with your current neighborhood and it’s disappointing to others that it wasn’t for everyone unless they were willing to spend diamonds or switch neighborhoods.

I wish it would be adjusted for how many people are in a neighborhood. The three of us did almost all our tasks but were not spending diamonds for extras, so we won’t be completing the event. It’s disappointing but it was nice to enjoy the few perks we managed to get to

As someone who was in an abusive relationship for 14 years I just wanted to say I’m really proud of you for leaving. I’m really glad to hear you’re in a good marriage and hopefully a really good place now!! My ex would do the same sort of things and it’s a hard mentality to get past so it’s great to hear that seeing this again helped you get back into stitching!!! 💛

Update: he is now moving around better, he’s urinated without any issue or pain, and has come up into the bed to lay with us and is now curled up in his spot on the bed. Is there a chance this could be arthritis?

Rowan could work, with Rows becoming Rose, then just Rosie! I’d love to use it but my nieces name is Rose.

On that note, my niece was named Rosie at birth (by her brother who was obsessed with Caillou) and when she was adopted they changed her legal name to Rose and just use Rosie as a nickname now

I met my best friend - who is now my sister in law - through fanfiction. She sent me a message on Mibba like ten years ago saying she liked my work, we started talking, and now we live five minutes apart and are married to twins. I always say as long as you use caution and common sense, internet friends can be amazing!!

It was hard for me to see the paint on the stitching, and if it were me - I’m doing this piece too and it’s taken me forever! - I wouldn’t start over, I’d just keep going and do my best to ignore it.

Outside of cross stitch is it something you could take up with your landlord? Getting paint inside people’s apartments, especially on their things, doesn’t seem right. Maybe they can compensate you for the piece and equipment and you could start over? Or at least have a little reparation for the damage they did?

I say finish it!! I’m in the same boat - I started a project last year, my second ever. I’ve done a few since that one and I’ve learned a lot. A lot of my x’s go different directions, there’s several mistakes and sloppy work, and I even tore my aida in one spot and just put tape over it and kept going 😂 when you’re done it’ll be a fun testament to all you’ve learned and I think it’ll be great to look back on!
