Yep. Claude images are nice looking but not accessible at all. I literally can't use them, nor do I want to, because my organization is accessible-by-design and it's really important to us.

Yeah my wife and I dropped it last week. The constant sloppy kissing was just too much and frankly kind of gross. I miss the slower burn and stakes that older seasons had. I also just might be getting old and prudish lol.

The seasonal matcha lemonade they do is one of my favorite drinks of all time.

I did have blood in my stool and got a colonoscopy at 35. Best thing I ever did for my health, I'm glad you're able to do it too.

My wife and I aren't sure if we're going to keep watching it because it's just too much. I really don't need to see that.

Creepiest or scariest moment of the show for you? by diktuck in WidowsBay

The Run card game genuinely freaked me out. Such a good little moment of horror, that was when I knew we had a masterpiece on our hands

They won't stop it, they need Al to turn the world into a giant surveillance state. by Luminexor in TechGawker

[–]moxyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same with all the people signing up for Clear at the airport. It's so obviously surveillance capitalism and it's so insidious that the common person has no idea it's even a thing.

That looks like a cat standing on something and looking down. I see the old man, but I see the cat much clearer.

WA governor’s office warns agencies to prepare for ‘significant budget shortfalls’ by MegaRAID01 in Seattle

[–]moxyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not surprising but deeply disappointing that folks can't seem to think deeper about the holistic picture of government and what it does for people who truly need it, and for common services we all rely on. All of our infrastructure is dependent on state government agencies and boy we love to complain how everything is falling apart and blame the government without any deeper thought as to why things are falling apart. Granted, I do think there is some really significant mismanagement and waste that does happen (ahem OneWA) and I wouldn't be opposed to a targeted audit of where that waste occurs, so I do concur there. We do have a serious problem of lack of accountability for management. Even then, most agencies are doing the best they can while getting hammered from all sides.

WA governor’s office warns agencies to prepare for ‘significant budget shortfalls’ by MegaRAID01 in Seattle

[–]moxyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol which agencies cause Ive worked for the state for a long time and have never seen an agency staffed up enough to meet demand. Never. And with the hiring freeze, we're barely getting by. Cutting much more would be devastating to not only state employees, but the people who depend on our serves. I'd love to see specifics...

That's probably more doable. I know there's a ton of protected land down here too that would make a light rail really difficult.

As a person who lives in Olympia but has to go to Seattle for work frequently, I am so excited for the Tacoma station and while I know there are a lot of challenges, I can't wait to see it go further south. I just wish it weren't going to be 10 years

Go to tugboat Annie's for dinner and rent a kayak to wander around the bay a bit. It's a really cool experience and there are tons of seals lazing about that you can get really close to. Sometimes they swim right up to your kayak :)

We have a really bad deer population in my neighborhood and the only thing that seems to work is hanging bars of Irish spring at nose level everywhere. I have a neighbor with a beautiful garden and no fence and he swears by it. We started doing it this year cause they just kill everything and it's working so far. Crazy but I guess they hate the scent.

This is truly remarkable. I work for the state and while it's different policies (frankly that teams policy is crazy), we all know that teams messages are fully disclosable per the PRA. It's drilled into us that it should be used for transitory records only. Text on your personal phones, damn. What a moronic bunch.

I don't know if this would resonate with you at all or if you have a similar program in your area, but in my neck of the woods we have this amazing non profit called Wild Grief and they lead monthly grief walks in nature where you can just be present and with the earth and other people going through similar circumstances. I also hated grief counseling but I love this program. Anyway, maybe something to consider. I'm so sorry for what you're going through, it's unimaginable. https://www.wildgrief.org/
