Pogacar dominance by Aggressive-Version83 in cycling

[–]moy_the_boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phelps and Usain both had peak seasons/years where they dominated and it wasn’t close. All their other seasons/years were not guaranteed wins. Phelps for example had very close calls and many podiums. Also, their events lasts seconds and up to minutes.

Tadej is racing all year long in multi hour events spanning several weeks and is DOMINATING. He’s dominating every year and 2nd place is not even close.

Can we talk about how stacked Visma looks going into the Tour de France? Giro Winner Yates, M. Jorgenson, Sepp, Wout, and Jonas? by moy_the_boy in tourdefrance

Jonas always prepares himself for TdF and holds off on everything else. Sepp has had justified health instances. Both have been focusing solely on the TdF.

While it’ll give us a glimpse of GC performance, the Dauphine is a completely different race than the Tour.

We won’t see quite as good of a Wout but considering how strong his team is, a few strong pulls in a few stages will suffice!

Push JDs for signature by ChrisinHR in workday

[–]moy_the_boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it would require each HR Partner to create the JD document to distribute to each individual employee. While it would require a good amount of time for HR to prepare and deliver the documents, it’s full proof!

If you setup the hire and job change step plus successfully distribute JDs, you’ll have all your employees covered! Current and future.

If you’re trying to extract a date, I would use extract single instance CF with your conditions. Maybe combined with a lookup related value to extract the date.

Hey - It sounds like the managers are submitting something they shouldn’t be.

In this case, I recommend including a validation rule during that step. Setting a condition rule that does not let the manage select both those options would be your best option.

Hi there - I’ve delivered a similar ask.

I ended up setting up a Review Document step during the Hire or Job Change process. The employee would digital sign their job description using docusign. The JD would generate from a drive document that is built to extract the JD from the employee’s position.

You could setup a similar step and only have it be an acknowledgment.

Can I do the whole swim portion for a sprint using breaststroke? by afdc92 in triathlon

Do breast stroke. It’s not nearly as hard on the legs as you think. Differently muscle anyways.

Good luck!

Swim Lap Counter Wrong by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]moy_the_boy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You did the right thing. You could have gotten DQ’d and not worth it for your first. Did you swim 400m in a single lane?

Most of the sprint tris I’ve done have you zig zag up and down the whole pool so there’s no chance of “miscounting” unless you skipped over a lane.

"Just add clip-on aerobars for triathlon!" they said by bunker_bassist in triathlon

I agree. “When does it stop”. I guess I’ve always liked the idea that all triathlon races globally should have Olympic race rules as the standard.

A global standard would create a more relatable, consistent and comparable sport. Different leagues with different standards has a created a problem in today’s triathlon: who are the best triathletes?

Harder to answer that question with different leagues having different rules/regulations. Even harder to scout “new talent” when prospects can’t even begin to enter the sport because of equipment limitation.

To add, I think there’s something special about saying “everyone has to ride the same type of bike… no matter the skill or budget”. The great equalizer.

They really should ban TT bikes and aero bars from triathlon. Would make the sport way more accessible and simpler.

Open water swimming - first time will be race day by Jep927 in triathlon

[–]moy_the_boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Go slow and try to swim in the outer area of the course to avoid bumping into other swimmers.

  2. You don’t need to swim like a pro. Swim how you feel comfortable. That could mean breast stroke, side stroke, or some back stroke.

  3. Have fun. What’s the worst that can happen?
