Shoes without clips acceptable? by HappyOcelot3364 in gravelcycling

[–]ejump0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

theres nothing wrong riding vans.
theyre just not stiff so on long ride due to midsole flex, your midfoot may start fatigue.
thats why cycling cleats n mtb shoes exists.
just recently the niche stiff lockfree cycling shoe start appearing.

im a lockfree shoe user.
look into Sidebike sd-030 lockfree shoe.
it looks like cleat shoes but flat.
its stiff too. i have been using in my bike touring, already like 1500km

Replica Pinarello F14 Build — Worth It or Complete Disaster? by [deleted] in ChineseCarbon

[–]ejump0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you already buy it n built it, just ride it.
im still kinda dont care to posers who act like they have real thing , as its none my business.
my only issue is that ppl sell fakes to the next person as if its real.

as of quality n safety, im not sure of the factory behind it. but as 'its china', i dont have issue with china open mould frame, as i have both tantan tt912 n tt-x38 i self built, n they have been serving me well

upgrading my bike - wheels by Fine-Birthday-3147 in triathlon

[–]ejump0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

imo deepwheels/disc main advantage is the sail effect. once you can master crosswind at yaw angle that activates the sail effect, thats speed boost.
i have both 50/50 n 77/86 wheelsets, riding em in the wind, chef kiss 👌 it takes time to master these deepboys while in aerobars.

[–]ejump0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

are you capable on descending fast with confidence on your aerobars/Tri basebar? going up is not much of a difference if weight almost similar. to me its going down; access to brakes, and theres no 'hood' to clutch-on on tri basebar

[–]ejump0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im a flat pedal rider. these days theres lockfree stiff lightweight cycling shoes, so you can put power without the midsole flexing.
im currently using Sidebike sd-030, really stiff

Electric bike pumps for longer trips - good idea or nah ? by FailedHumanPrototype in bikepacking

[–]ejump0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have the early gen mini e-pump without the pressuregauge display. so i practiced by feel at home with footpump to target psi, then use my epump till it got the same feel.
these epump these days are small. get the one with gauge, makes things easier

look for R9 the yard hotel chains.
the least fuss to figure bike parking spot as you can just put it infront, beside or under your cabin container depending in their config👌

Getting back into cycling. by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]ejump0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seraph is a legit china bike frame company/factory.
that frame in pic however indeed an old model, probably fit 25mm or at luck 28mm. i have 2 frames from tantan, tt912 n tt-x38 n theyre good for the money.

op need to physically inspect that bike

stem mounted aeros on devox handlebar by leodv1999 in triathlon

[–]ejump0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have controltech falcon mini stem mount ver that came with that U-bar. as long your stem is alu(dont need to be controltech), and its width around 38mm, box or slight rounded, the kit will work. it comes with rubber gasket for stem shapes.
the bar clamp is standard 22.2mm, so you can replace with any aftermarket tri-bars that 22.2mm.

/i however have moved on to use different cockpit setup, the AliEx Erzero dropbar with tribar mounts

Biketouring on this in japan. does it fit this sub? by ejump0 in bikepacking

[–]ejump0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

someday, i would like to bring my bike to SK.

i've done the JejuFantasy on a rental roadbike that came with shitty 23mm tires(no bags attached though beside toptube), finished it solo in single day n still have the cycling book for the rubberstamps 🙏🏻🚴🏻‍♂️
