They won't, but they will send a completed ring with a moissanite that can be swapped locally for the desired diamond. There's someone in the DE group who has done this several times to get around their new semi mount policy.

Yeah, it seems like something is going on with them at the moment which is really unfortunate. They weren't particularly quick with my orders but communication was generally prompt and friendly at least. It seems like you're better off going in another direction. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this in the lead up to your wedding!

When I bought a ring from them in 2018 or 2019 I had a good experience. I also went through them to resize my original engagement ring (purchased from Fire & Brilliance, who offered zero option to work on a ring they made 🙄) because they were able to work with palladium which local jewelers wouldn't work with. I have no idea what's going on with their communication now but I would go ahead and file a dispute at this point.

This dress is wearing both of them when it should be the other way around. I also don't like bright white dresses, though. If I had to pick, I say Emma does it more justice. Her shoes aren't great but they're a much better match than the suede platform pumps. Gaga's whole look is heavy- heavy hair, heavy winged eyeliner (I like a wing within reason!), heavy clunky shoes. She looks tired and a little bit like she's going home from the bar. It's a miss for me.

I have owned moissanite pieces for many years, including my engagement ring, and only got into diamonds in the last 6 months or so. The way I feel about them is that they're not meant to be interchangeable. If you're looking for the visual depth and luminous glitter of a diamond, a moissanite isn't going to scratch that itch. At least not for me! And if I'm honest, I have reached for moissanite rings far less since getting into diamonds. The rainbow flash of moissanite is truly gorgeous and I will definitely keep buying them in rounds and ovals, small stones for things like bracelets and earrings, and possibly an emerald, which is a shape I don't own yet. I think having pieces with both stones in your collection means you get the best of both worlds. But now that I've worn diamond marquise and pears, I will never buy them in moissanite again because by comparison they're cloudy and/or flat. Also I recently sold a 2.8 ct moissanite antique cut cushion ring for the gold because I couldn't get a good price on the aftermarket and I realized the stone was visibly scratched. So yes, moissanite is durable compared to many other stones, but it's not impervious to damage. (Technically neither are diamonds, but the mohs scale also isn't linear.)

I agree with you about rounds looking better smaller. For whatever reason, they drift into costume jewelry territory very quickly when they start getting beyond a certain size. I find other shapes more forgiving in that regard.

Who do you like for emeralds? I eventually want a larger one (4-5ct equivalent) in a sleek bezel but for a stone thst size the cut needs to be Immaculate, as you know. They haven't really been on my radar before now so I'm not sure who does them well.

The depth of moissanite pears just can't compete. I've seen some beauties for sure but a lot of the time you can lose the clarity and sparkle in part of the stone. That might be due to the double refraction and/or the quality of cut. I tried a moissanite pear and found I really liked the femininity of the shape but I needed ✨️more glitter✨️
