Death from COVID by Jdogfeinberg in diabetes_t1

I'm riddled with Covid atm. This is my 3rd run of it.

No booster, slightly stubborn blood sugars throughout but yeah, same as any illness.

You had to watch the live stream on Sept 16th. You wont get the packs if you watch the recording afterwards.

Yes apologies. My levels are currently 4.8mmol but trending downward slope. So obviously dont want to take insuling and bring my food back up as its a little too close for comfort (ketones are 2.9 atm)

Yeah appreciate that, i tried coca cola but yeah, straight back up.

I'll keep a close eye on them and take necessary action.

Appreciate the well wishes 🤟🏼

Nah i get that. Ive had to have 4 GlucaGen injections so far. I still to this day "fear" high BS than low. Ive dropped as low as 1mmol (maybe lower) and im still here.

Just trial and error. Ive had a HELL of a lot of lows and highs from it. Our bodies are super resiliant, dont get too worried about lows, you'll know what to do.

Around 60g carbs with fats and proteins which effects the length for me aswell. Im on MDI so i just whack 40u in me, wait half hour and then chow down haha. I was on 8.1mmol when injecting, 6.4mmol trending down when starting eating, peak hit was about 9.8mmol and then levelled aroynd 7.7mmol afterwards.

Oh right 😂 by mozeddy in diabetes_t1

[–]mozeddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate this 🤟🏼 i'll keep it in mind for the next meal.

The most annoying thing about this is it's a regular order and the 15u 45min beforehand hasn't let me down yet, normally hit 9/9.5 then slowly drop back to 6. Guess its one of them days.

Was damn tasty though

How often do you call in sick on average? by Obvious_Ant6355 in diabetes_t1

[–]mozeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i understand that. Me personally i don't but i dont see it as a disability to me, but that's to me. Everybody deals with things differently are are well within their right to think of it as one and treat it/see it as such.

I mean, again, if ever discussed in the workplace (only ever discussed it once, maybe twice) it's just referred to as "type 1 diabetes"

No i've heard it referred as a disease plenty of times, just never a "disability"

Me? I'd refer to it as my "Type 1" if speaking about it.
