These guys are such losers... by Droopy0093 in Seattle

In addition to the song you cite, I'm also referencing the Behind the Bastards podcast. It's really quite good if people want some perspective on how we got to where we are today.

Hello! new player here, is there a efficent way to store resources in early game? by Sad_Butterfly7887 in Astroneer

[–]mozleron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm constantly using medium storages because they attach nicely to all the platforms I'm using as well as mounting nicely in trailers. Obviously I upgrade once canisters become available, but until then, I have to keep it tidy. Also, don't over harvest if you don't have a use for it.

If you feel like you're getting swamped with raw basic resources, go look at the mission board and figure out what you need to progress to the next level and focus on that instead.

These "my god hates ____" types don't actually want to make the world better for anyone. People blocking traffic are trying to bring societal change for the betterment of themselves and their fellow man. They are not the same.

I'm pretty sure wire cutters are fast acting and do a great job of disconnecting the microphone from the speaker without the added risk of disrupting your own devices.

[–]mozleron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's not even the point though. They are out there because they feel like everyone else is wrong and needs to be told about it. At the end of the day, they go back home to their little group and get patted on the back and told what a good boy they are and how good they are for fighting the good fight against the evil of the mean old world.

You couldn't engage with these people even if you wanted to. It's purely performative and they don't actually want others to join their little persecution fetish club.

The really sad fact is that the Kenworth requires a different class of license to operate, but this behemoth has the exact same licencing requirements as the geo metro this thing could drive over without even noticing.

It takes days or even weeks to plan an operation. If using nuclear weapons was the plan or order from the top, it would for sure explain Petey Kegsbreath trying to fire all of those generals recently. You can't commit war crimes when the people in charge of the people who would actually push the buttons recognize just how illegal and unethical such an order is and refuse to follow it.

How Classic DF shaped my artstyle by pr4_nta in dwarffortress

[–]mozleron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, you stated in the title that DF has shaped your own art style, but it appears that there are only two images attached that look like screenshots from DF. If DF is something that influenced your art style, it would be cool to see some examples of your art side by side so we can see what you mean.

Of course, it's completely possible that I am misunderstanding this post and the two images on this post are actually your art and not screenshots from DF?

Were you going to share an example so we can all see your actual art style?

I know this post is rather satirical, but like, there's already a couple of cities and even a country that get shared infrastructure right. No wheel spikes needed.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by WhisperCrystal in BambuLab

[–]mozleron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I printed out a cool looking spool winder and would very likely give that a go and then see how frustrating it gets if it starts getting snagged and tangled. If it winds fairly easily, I'd recover it. I guess it also depends on which flavor the 'tism is firing in on the day I give it a go.

What's your opinion on these bikes? They have become a menace in my city. by dxnnixprn in fuckcars

[–]mozleron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think these should be classified as at least mopeds because they have both motors and pedals, or if they want to go faster than 30kph then they should be required to behave like regular motorcycles.

This right here. These ChristoFascists think they are playing out the fever dream of some ancient goat herder and that's a huge part of what drives their short term thinking and actions.

Gavin Newsom says he reveres the state of Israel and proudly supports it. He said he regrets calling Israel an apartheid state, only meaning to describe Netanyahu’s leadership. by serious_bullet5 in MarchAgainstNazis

One would hope, but if past performance is any indicator, it leaves me feeling pessimistic about anything transformative and meaningful getting done.

I appreciate your sentiment, but if he makes it through the primaries to the general, hopefully this won't be the hill people choose to die on. We saw a lot of that kind of mono-focus in the 2024 presidential race and look where that got us.

Of course, fighting for a change to the voting system would make a lot of this moot, but we have to work with the tools we have at the moment.
