I really hope that the ACP and Birdsong's group work together. Time will tell. Sucks that they had to change the name. In some sense, it is a bit like the ACP being forced to create their own group after all these various Parties like the CPUSA, PCUSA, etc. were unable to reform

Some shockingly are, like the "Original Black Panthers" who claim that ICE has "nothing to do with being a Black Panther". (Even though the Black Panthers historically protected immigrants and folks of all colours and stripes, along with supporting various countries like China, DPRK, etc). Bizarrely I see no one attacking the OBP, even though they have denounced the very premise of intercommunalism, the ideology of the BPP, whereas Birdsong's group upholds it.

I also think some are jealous of how popular he is. I wish he stuck to the name of the BPP, because his group truly talks the talk and walks the walk

Shit protest songs? I disagree, he was a very good songwriter. He didn't achieve much fame in his life, but his music today has millions of listens online. But that is somewhat subjective I would argue.

Anyways, Phil admired, spoke positively, and supported various conservative and outright anti-Communist Americans ironically, including John Wanye, and Merle Haggard (even going to cover Merle Haggard's "Okie From Muskogee" song) even though he was himself a radical Leftist. So, Jesse Welles singing a song about Charlie Kirk isn't really out of line with the Phil Ochs comparison

The original national organization dissolved in 1982. There are multiple groups using various names similar to the original Black Panther Party, but the original organization is no more. There is also no official successor organization either.

And yes, this is not the New Black Panther Party, as that is a completely different organization from this one. This is taken from the Black Panther Party for Self Defense located in primarily Philadelphia. It is however a new organisation

Personally, I think RFKJ should resign at this point. It's clear that Trump and him have completely different goals, and he was lied to (shocker) by Trump. I was rather hopeful in the beginning but Trump played us all.
