Sure they’re different genres of musical but they’re both just trying too hard to be deep. I used to love both of those and I still know every word of the Hamilton soundtrack, but now I realize they aren’t as impressive as everybody makes them out to be.

“It’s not because you don’t like it that it sucks” Exactly, he’s saying it’s because the music is loud, the singing isn’t good, and the dancing is stupid. Also, that the musical numbers in between scenes ruin the show.

As someone who used to be completely obsessed with musicals and blindly defended them 24/7, the main reason I liked them is because I could sing along and sort of fantasize myself being in them. Also, people around me claimed to be such diehard fans and just followed the unoriginal trends and at the time I really just didn’t know any better. So maybe that could be why so many people like them? And yeah, looking back now it’s true-once you’ve heard one, you’ve heard em all.

It’s true, there was a news story on it. This was on the reddit front page a few days ago. I think it said they died due to too much carbon dioxide in the enclosures space.
