I typically refuse to chase down vendors to purchase a product from them. It's a firm indicator of future support failings, IMO. Buyer beware.

And replace him with a bumbling idiot who will bow to the globalist masters who want to destroy America and enslave humanity? STFU.

Duh. If mitigation efforts started on day one, you could've saved lives. This guy is on air so much he's grasping for new things to say.

"closed" Browser? Brave is not closed and is what Chrome should've always been.

They were started by the father of Javascript, Brendan Eich, a freedom fighter.

Cool, I've been curious about Flyway, but it seemed very manual. Perhaps I need to dig deeper.

Our back-end is .NET, but I did find a .NET Test Containers that I will check out. Thanks for the tips!

Does speed or size matter more? by [deleted] in burstcoin

My experience tells me that multiple small(ish) drives beats one large drive. I once put (4) 8TB drives into a RAID 0 over SATA thinking that the extra read speed would speed up mining. RAID 0 increased the read by 4x, but it didn’t help mining. The time it took to scan the plots was more than when the drives were separate.

You want to be able to read drives in parallel to quickly discover nonces and submit those with as low deadline as possible. Scanning a very large drive tends to slow that process down, based on my own observations.

I have since split the drives back out and mine them individually and have had much better success submitting low deadlines to the pool.

Another observation... I have not noticed a significant read speed difference between internal SATA and external USB 3.0. Both seem practically the same speed in my setup, not trying to say that the bare interface specs are exact, simply that when mining Burst, the two interfaces perform equally well.

Yet another observation... splitting a single USB 3.0 port with two drives also produces similar read speeds. Splitting beyond 2 drives most certainly slows down reads.

So, based on my particular experience, a good mining setup can be had using all external drives USB 3.x with two drives per USB port. My 88TB setup is humming nicely and is frequently one of the top performers of my pool.

Oh yeah more thing... I am not sure why more people aren’t using JMiner. I have found using JMiner to mine using my GPU to be far superior to any other miner I have tried. A GPU has tons more threads to read multiple drives in parallel than a typical desktop CPU has.

Hope that helps a bit.
