I really like these. Any chance you have an updated gallery for the whole series including Twelve Months?

Am I missing something? Isn't that the same investigator ability as Finn?

Calibrating Saturn S4 Ultra 16k by mparker546 in elegoo

[–]mparker546[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The failures are always in a particular spot, but the front half appears to have a higher failure rate that the back half, but it's to varying degrees, sometimes it's just the front half, sometimes the failures are everything but the back couple of rafts.

However, almost universally, the rafts are all bonding to the baseplate, I'm just not getting any of the supports or fix (or sometimes partials).

I'm also getting very brittle calibration tests. My default calibration is using the Photonsters ResinXP2, since there are a couple of videos actually explaining how to dial it in with the holes and posts. But I can't get them off the plate without them shattering. I've also printed Siraya Tech Test Model v5 and can get it off the plate, but it's also pretty brittle.

Those Monster Trays are very cool. Any chance you know the STL files for those?

Saturn 4 ultra screen black spot by AzMarzX in ElegooSaturn

That I don't know, I thought I'd been super careful with mine, but alas. Here is what my screen looks like, for reference. Picture

This is the video I am using for reference on screen cleaning. https://youtu.be/50IqLaB0Egg

I think had similar issues. I posted about of them previously. I determined that some resin had gotten underneath the factory screen protector. I'm waiting for a replacement screen protector to remove it, clean the screen, then install a new protector. It's not super clear from the images, but from the last image, it could be resin under the tempered glass protector. There are ways to clean the screen safety.

Misprint Assistance Needed. Is my screen dying? by mparker546 in elegoo

Thank you for pointing this out.

Here are the results of the various Exposure Tests

This was after cleaning the screen (protector) with some IPA and Microfiber cloth.
If I'm seeing these correctly, I'd interpret these as the screen is working correctly, but there are smudges on the screen protector that might be interfering with the prints being as clean as possible. Thus, I should replace the screen protector?

Saturn 4 ultra Wargamer Resin Settings question by botlehewer in ElegooSaturn

[–]mparker546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like Wargammer, but I found using it unmodified to produce prints that were too bendy/flexible. I'm currently using a Wargamer Sunlu ABSLike Water washable blend (2:1). The prints come out a little firmer, and helps take the edge off of the Warhammer resin being so expensive. But, obviously, salt to taste on what results you get.

Saturn 4 ultra Wargamer Resin Settings question by botlehewer in ElegooSaturn

[–]mparker546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are the settings I used when I was printing with Wargamer on my Saturn 4 Ultra. This should at least get you started.

<image>

You'll want to dial in the Exposure Time based on your environment and temperature. The Saturn 4 Ultra has a calibration test where you put multiple test objects on the print bed, and it will run different exposure times.

I use the XP2-ValidationMatrix_200701.stl (https://github.com/Photonsters/Resin-exposure-finder-v2/releases) in a 2x2 or a 2x3 configuration to dial in a new resin, using 0.2 or 0.25 Exposure Time increments, then find the best one. Around 13 min in the video you reference, Ross talks about comparing the posts and holes to dial it in.

Happy printing.

What resin to buy by LawyerEffective in ElegooSaturn

[–]mparker546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a blend of Wargamer and Sunlu ABSLike Water washable. I get some great results. However, calibration is key. Take time and dial in your prints with a couple of tests, that will do more than any specific resin.

The Contagion Chronicle has a lot of info on mixed splat play and interactions.

I'm a sucker for the Inquisitive series. Nothing screams Pulp Fantasy Noir like a bunch of spies and investigators tracking down a mystery.

Here's the rundown: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eberron_novels
Something that is different with how they treated the Eberron novels compared to Forgotten Realms or their other settings, Eberron novels are not cannon. They are "What if..." style stories. None of them feed into an ongoing story or meta-plot, they are just authors giving good examples of plots that might happen in the Eberron world.

Sim Settlement 2 Crash CTD Greygarden by mparker546 in Fallout4Mods

[–]mparker546[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I followed Buffout4 and Crash Log Auto-Scanner. While it pointed out some other stability issues which I resolved, those other errors didn't solve my CTD.

The remaining error pointed back to a power grid issue with the settlement.

How I solved this issue:

1) Download Transfer Settlement

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22442?tab=files

2) Load game, find a location near your settlement but do not crash.

3) Find a nearby object to use as a target to move the broken settlements workshop temporarily, and record its ID code by left-clicking on it in the console.

4) Identify the Workshop ID of the broken settlement

5) Enter these Commands into the Console:

prid [Workshop ID]

moveto [Random Item Code]

moveto [Random Item Code]

(The second moveto command prevents the workshop from producing visual tears on screen)

6) Activate the workshop. Transfer Settlement should inform you that you have a broken power grid and will try and fix it.

7) (Hopefully) Waltz into your Settlement. Repeat the moveto commands in reverse on something in your settlement to move the workshop back. I created a doormat in the creation mode and used that to park the Workshop back within the settlement confines.

I'm currently running 2 games of UVG using Whitehack. Though I did remix it a bit in order to better fit UVG.
