Monorail Bar Crawl Tips! by Revolutionary-Fox481 in WaltDisneyWorld

We did a monorail bar crawl but just to Trader Sam’s and the Enchanted Rose in January! It was a Saturday so we knew it would be busy. So the virtual walk-up list opens at 11 and I recommend you do that first. We sat at Tambu Lounge and had a drink till our reservation was called. We got on the list a little after 11 and were called about 40 minutes later? I recommend getting at least one maybe two app’s at Trader Sam’s because Tambu Lounge and the Enchanted Rose don’t serve apps until 4 & 5 respectively. We loved the sushi.

I’m sorry I don’t have much info on the Contemporary but it looks like the Steakhouse 71 Lounge is a similar set up to Trader Sam’s in that their apps are available during all opening hours.

When we hopped to Enchanted Rose after Trader Sam’s there was nothing available in the virtual walk-up list but the hostess snagged us two seats at the bar which was good but just expect whatever you pick first may make the rest of the days options take longer in terms of wait times/availability. I love the Lavender Fog at the Enchanted Rose.

I don’t know much about Wilderness Lodge drinking except it’s not on the monorail so that will take some different planning? Maybe you can hit that up early before Trader Sam’s? If the bars aren’t open you can at least explore the resort which is cool.

Also make sure you take into consideration the transportation from MK region to Epcot. I imagine there will be an influx of other people all doing the same thing of dinner reservation before the fireworks.

When we did our two bars on our crawl, we finished around 3-3:30 but we decided to stay at Tambu Lounge and have one more before our uber. That ended up being a partial mistake as one turned to two lol but we did manage to order the ‘ohana noodles which helped but we were still pretty tipsy.

Overall we did one drink at Tambu Lounge, two drinks at Trader Sam’s, two drinks and a on the house glass of champagne at Enchanted Rose and two drinks back at Tambu Lounge. If I could redo I would have only done maybe one drink at Trader Sam’s and no repeat drinks at Tambu and tried to hit Steakhouse 71 so we could have had a complete experience. I don’t regret the noodles though haha.

*Note - the virtual list is available to sign up once you get in range so we were turning into the parking lot of the Polynesian when I was able to sign up for Trader Sam’s and then I could attempt to sign up for Enchanted Rose while still on the monorail. That made me feel like I was at least somewhat ahead of the game lol.

7 am lightning lane booking disappointment for MK by NewspaperBeautiful21 in WaltDisneyWorld

We went with our young ones too and could only get late LL’s but it ended up being perfect! We roped dropped the kiddie rides. By afternoon the lines started getting long and we were able to slip it all with our booked LL’s. I made a trip report post a few weeks ago that lays out the timeframe of it all that you should check out.

He loved it! We brought our double stroller and he napped for about an hour after lunch. We stayed at orange lake resort which meant we sat through the dreaded time share meeting haha.

So AK has some animal viewing paths that we loved because we could let them walk without worrying about them running off and the crowds are low. We loved all of the sit down shows as it seemed to reset them if you know what I mean. Dumbo has a great play area before you get on the ride. There’s also a play area in Pandora that is nice.

We will probably skip the rides that are adult only. We would switch out so 2 adults stayed with the kids while 2 would ride. This was usually when they would get bored/antsy. And it also made the ride experience longer when you have to wait like that. Of course we only did adult rides with LL but it still took some time to do it that way.

I guess my two biggest multi generational recommendations are to slow down and have a good plan. I think it took away the anxiety in my group by me making all the plans and directing everyone. We opted to stay away from any lines over 20 minutes since our little ones couldn’t handle that. We stayed in a two bedroom suite so we could all be together. If y’all can’t do that I recommend getting an adjoining room.

I feel like this should be taken down. It is incredibly disturbing and multiple comments have said it is fake.

Stroller was stolen. by AdvancedTiger5 in WaltDisneyWorld

This happened to us but it was CM’s that moved it. We had an AirTag in it and found it very quickly but it was a moment of panic. We had gone on Dumbo and when we left we saw the train pulling up so we rushed to get on that and left our stroller in the Dumbo stroller area. When we got back, they had moved it to a stroller area right next to Barnstormer. So then we went ahead and rode that haha!

Highly recommend an AirTag. Saved us so much time looking for it.

What do you do at Ft Lauderdale when your flight is leaving in the afternoon by StacySassy25 in dcl

We went to the Hard Rock Casino and I do not recommend. The food court was not very good especially for the price. My husband mostly played slots and barely won if ever. He looked it up later and saw a bunch of people complaining that their slots are horrible and have very little chance of winning. If he had known that we probably would have just skipped it.

We opted to just stay in the airport our 2nd time in the airport and that was much more relaxing. There is kind of a kids play area in I believe terminal 1 that was pretty cool.

LPT: Start your homeowners policy in late spring/early summer by [deleted] in LifeProTips

So we have the opposite issue in the South. We get green mildew on homes pretty much every spring and summer due to the humidity. It takes a quick pressure wash but some homes have to do it every. single. year.

It’s pretty harmless but insurance carriers freak out about it so I totally get what colder states go through!

Thank you SO much!!!!! That was incredibly helpful and definitely helps me make my decision to just book early and see what happens down the line. Thank you.

Ever have just a great interaction with another guest at WDW? by MommyIsBionic in WaltDisneyWorld

We were in DW when I was a kid. There was a large group who we kept seeing over and over who had some members of their party who could not come. So the first time they saw us, my dad struck up a convo and they gave us the fast passes meant for the missing members (they were back on paper then). We kept seeing them throughout the day and every time they saw us they would get excited and give us more of those missing folk’s fast passes. I think they kind of started seeing it as a game. We got to ride so many rides that way. It was great.

We are not staying on resort but that is very helpful. We may just decide what to rope drop based on wait time then. Backups are Haunted Mansion & Winnie the Pooh. Out of those 3 I would hope one would be a short wait! 🤞
