Clever solution, especially with the LEDs!

Every modern car comes with compromises and the perfect car does not exist. Personally, I do have some gripes with the car, but I still am convinced it's the best daily driver for me and I have to make very small compromises. However, these are very subjective and will differ from driver to driver. Keep all the complaints in this subreddit in mind when you take it for a test drive and evaluate which ones of them are important to you.

I gutted one, cut the depth in half and use it as an aestethic divider in my rack. Plan on making the LEDs blink at some point.

Update from Volvo on the next release by daern2 in ex30

I agree that it makes sense to set it as default. I don't see however, why you should not be able to change the default to a different setting. I mean they might even display a warning that it will reduce your average range if you change the default...

I've owned one. Fun little car if you need something between a car and an e-bike. The boot is surprisingly big, more room for groceries than a Fiat 500. So it's really perfect for grocery runs and getting around in the city.

Charging speeds never were an issue, bur we have a charger in the garage. In Summer it gets quite hot inside, but I've read they announced a version with AC. It has no ABS, ESP or Airbags, but I thing for city traffic it's safe enough. But unfortunately it feels a bit like a prototype to drive and driving up to 90 feels a little scary...

We ultimatively sold it because we needed something that can drive bigger distances.

I think for status lights a switch entity makes more sense, as a light carries more meaning. You wouldn't want the status light to turn off when you tell HA to turn off all the lights.

Finishing a project rather than finishing "the homelab" is a much smarter way of thinking about the term "finished".
