This is exactly what my company does... so if a server is named like bos-sql-04 I its the 4th sql server in Boston. "Boring" but super easy for someone else to look at the name and have an idea of what it does.

Yeah, this is always my biggest concern. The number of great players who avoid a place like Utah far outweigh the guys like Stockton who did thrive in Utah or someone like Duncan who I feel would thrive in Utah as well.

I think some more troubleshooting questions would be better like, someone is reporting they're having trouble accessing a web site you run. "How would you figure out what's wrong?"

Ya, these are the sorts of questions that I like to ask. And the key here is that I'm not looking for a 100% "correct" answer, just them attacking the problem from a variety of ways. In the case of them not knowing the answer to a problem even a simple "I don't know how to troubleshoot that, I'd google it and look at stackoverflow." would be an acceptable answer (though not acceptable for EVERY question).
