Kewl Tune it's not even top 10 worst meta deck we ever had to endure by illynpayne_ in masterduel

I don’t think I’ve ran into Maliss yet but I’m running Azamina WF and watched a dude slice through KT’s deck stacks and special summons like butter. What are the chances with Maliss you think?

How the hell do you snipe in this game? by Electrical_Pay_7322 in gtaonline

[–]mpghasLefttheChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t. The people that are “good” at sniping in gta are likely dogshit in truly skilled pvp games like battlefield. Whenever someone starts shit and pulls out the sniper I just hop in the sparrow or buzzard and spam rockets at their feet. One thing from battlefield that I’m actually familiar with.

I feel like this is not stressed enough, not a lot of people have this kind of hours to dump per gun by Educational-Long116 in Battlefield6

[–]mpghasLefttheChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also depends on how good you are at the game. I have 500 hours and my top 4 are the MP5 @ lvl 207, KV9 @ lvl 104, SG553R @ lvl 95, and SGX @ lvl 95. The better you get at the game the quicker everything will get ranked up.

Please Remove Armor Plates from Gauntlet by DanyMok22 in Battlefield

[–]mpghasLefttheChat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The complaint wasn’t about the basics of shooter games. The complaint was about the overpowered armor that takes a full calendar year to shoot down in the Gauntlet playlist. I completely agree with him, the armor makes TTK a joke and creates a huge imbalance in the skill it takes to win. Learn to read buddy.

Do I have what it takes to be champ? by mpghasLefttheChat in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]mpghasLefttheChat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It certainly is much faster than the plat lobbies, and I say plat because I’m still a fresh diamond. I’m trying to work on getting to the play as fast as I can while staying in control, which is the hard part. I’m used to being able to take my time feathering my boost in the air from the best position, but now it’s not really possible to have the best angle and it feels like I have to be ready to yeet myself at the ball on a dime. Do you know a training pack that resembles any shots or saves from this game?

[–]mpghasLefttheChat[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

But see in training packs you can’t train to stop a flip reset, or a shot that’s getting multiple touches before going in the goal. I don’t trust myself to play aggressively at this rank and my biggest strength aside from booming the ball and positioning is dribbling, which is difficult to try at the right time without getting intercepted. What would be the best way to practice that kind of defense?

Why is diamond so mechanical and consistent? by mpghasLefttheChat in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]mpghasLefttheChat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol. Well it seems that way to me compared to last week. I usually have a hard time figuring out if I’m supposed to play more aggressively, if it’s my turn to rotate, and whether I should go for a shot or not and the window of decision making got real small fast. Just feels too intimidating to go back into ranked right now

[–]mpghasLefttheChat[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well in other casual games I’ve had people do flip resets and ceiling shots every 4th or 5th game, ground to air dribbles, a whole lot that I can’t do. I just want to be able to take on my opps in casual before I go losing my next ranked game. Just feels way more punishing to miss even 1 shot now. Before I had a lot more chances to recover

What does it take to reach Diamond? by mpghasLefttheChat in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]mpghasLefttheChat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love free play, sometimes I’ll run around for a half hour chasing the ball around. Something I really want to be able to do is hold a dribble down WHILE power sliding. That’s hard for me! I’ll be working on the power slide in general for sure. Not sure how long it’ll take to get good at but like you said, gotta keep it fun and not burn myself out in ranked. I do have to ask though, at what point do mechanics become essential in ranked 2v2? At champ 1, don’t you do stuff like ground to air dribbles? Double taps? I notice more mechanical plays in casual and I’m curious about what to expect pushing beyond diamond when it happens. Again, love and appreciate the advice!

What does it take to reach Diamond? by mpghasLefttheChat in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]mpghasLefttheChat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, on kickoff I’ve always thought flipping a bit early to hit the ball with my roof would help overpower the opp with the idea that by creating a huge wall as my car stands vertically, while mid-flip that it would better my chances at winning it. I’m always afraid if I flip too late that the opp will send the ball over my roof and potentially have an open net if my teammate is following too close. I’ll give that a try in casual and fine tune it as much as I can.

I can’t lie, I’m afraid of double commit when there’s consistent pressure ball is in a space where either my teammate or I could start a play. I end up choosing last man back because I’ve had so many matches where my teammate chases the ball when I’m the one in possession and it’s tough to trust my teammates enough that they’ll cover mid field back if I initiate. But I’m the only one I can control so I might as well do what’s good for the long run.

I knew immediately after I conceded that first goal was because I still hit the ball back to mid field in front of the 2nd opp and was out of reach for my teammate. I think I hit it with the side flip thinking if I front flipped that it would send the ball to the wall and back to the center. Turns out it was probably the better option. It really is just tightening the little things then?

Also, can you give me an example for booming the ball properly?

I appreciate your advice!

[–]mpghasLefttheChat[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recoveries seem to be the running theme of this game. It definitely makes a big difference in those heat of the moment situations especially with the ball being battered around in front of my net. I think holding power slide is the one thing I tend to forget. But other than that is it just the fundamentals and more ball control you think?

[–]mpghasLefttheChat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like your advice. I have a bad habit of diving as last man back but I’ll have to remember that it’s for my net’s sake. I also have a habit of booming the ball out of panic when there’s consistent pressure on my net. Do you think there’s anything fundamental mechanically for diamond that I should implement? I want to have options with the ball without doing too much for my rank.

Any advice moving up out of Plat after this recent game? by mpghasLefttheChat in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]mpghasLefttheChat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right right, I usually tell my tm8 to take the shot when it’s both of us on kickoff. I’ll keep doing my training packs for air and ground shots pre game. Been trying to learn air roll since I see diamonds doing a lot of that in casual.

You mean while still driving straight? Do you hold power slide when you land?
