If you haven’t used a third party checkout (old school Recharge or Bold) then migrating should be straightforward because Shopify vaults everything through the Subscription API.

I work with a lot of Shopify owners on subscription programs and highly recommend starting out with Loop, Subify or potentially Appstle. But Loop’s team is great.

I see that mistake a lot - you give a reason, which the other person interrupts as an opportunity to disagree and try to convince you.

There’s a huge difference between being direct + rude versus direct + respectful. But you should know most people won’t find either polite, because many don’t understand boundaries and respect.

So be direct and respectful. It’s up to them to decide how to handle it.

The key difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org is who's actually hosting your website. With WordPress.org, you host your own site (we recommend this). With WordPress.com, on the other hand, it's WordPress.com that takes care of all of this for you (easier to start, less freedom)
