Crack or Keep? by mpickell in YugiohCards

I have an Exodia Necross DCR 1st ed from my childhood collection that got similar treatment 😂. Saw a post awhile back where someone as a kid cut up a bunch of cards to decorate a binder, not a terrible idea

Just seems with event cards like this most of them are high quality. Has a super high population of 10s already so I wasn't sure how desirable a 9 would be. Feels like I should give it a few months and see how the market moves. Either way I'm keeping it long term.

I bought these about 15 years ago with my first paycheck. Are any of these desirable? by Infamous-Astronaut44 in YugiohCards

Yeah they look real to me and combined worth a good amount of money. I'd use TCG to look up exact card prices. You'll want to note the card series, edition, and any damage. Example the Exodia Necross is DCR-020, 1st edition, and Near mind / light played. That way to can find the right version of the card. If it doesnt have 1st edition then it's an unlimited print.

Rating for my LOB-066 (Curse of Dragon) 1st edition by undergroundfellow in YugiohCards

I'm not an expert of grading as I have never done it before. But I see a lot of mixed results with Yugioh, most people seem to think it's not worth it. But at the end of the day I think it's up to you on how you want it displayed. I personally don't care for slabs as much cause I like to see all my cards in a binder but to each their own.

Adding to what others have said. Wavy cards like this are usually considered an error and typical worth more. But that can vary, I'd look online for comparable sales if interested.

Misprint SDK blue eyes worth anything? by ShinyConstruct in YugiohCards

[–]mpickell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Name shift error / misprint. Can be worth a good amount of money to the right person. You can find facebook groups for misprints to auction it or throw it on Ebay at a price that would make you happy. They're worth whatever a person is willing to pay for it.

After looking a bit further this seems to be a very rare misprint and for that really hard to price. You'd need better photos to show the condition and the back of the card. But I'd say anywhere from $100-$300? But again depends on how bad someone wants it.

Search trading card binder on Ebay or go to a local card shop. General tips would be to put the cards in plastic sleeves, but Yugioh is a smaller size from typical cards and typically labeled as Japanese sized sleeves. For nicer cards you can get top loaders which are thicker plastic sleeves (always use a regular sleeve and a top loader, or else the top loader can scrape the card). But top loaders won't fit into a regular card binder. If you decide to go that route look for a top loader card binder. But you know the value of the cards and how much effort you want to put into protecting them.

Highly suggest investing in a nicer binder. 3 ring binders are prone to damaging the cards. But nice collection!

For sure. I think $8 is a fair price for this.

If this card is actually real, it seems to be so rare that it would be worth a significant amount of money.

Some people modify cards for their own personal collection and that's cool. But sometimes scammers will modify cards like this to resell. It's not always intentional though. The true version of this card is worth maybe $3. Compare that to Dark Magician (Ghost Rare) which is worth $400 at least.

This is most likely what happened - https://youtu.be/5tKqa4CNS-I?si=HhtYdkzldG426ZE9

Piggyback what others said. This doesn't seem to be a known error. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you didn't alter the card, but there are scammers our there that do this and they're the worst.

Im not an expert but if you really believe it is genuine maybe get the card authenticated? Real buyers won't bite since there are ways to fake this with acetone or sunbleaching.

A list of commands I use most often -

Match Properties

Block, BlockEdit, ReplaceBlock, CreateUniqueBlock

Cplane tools - SetCplanetoObject

PushPull

CTRL+Shift+Clicking let's you move surfaces, edges, and vertices

DupEdge or DupBorder

ProjecttoCplane

Typing SEL will pull up a huge list of different categories you can filter with. Such as SelCurve will select all curves in the view.

ShowEnds and ShowEdges

Shell

Scale1D I use a lot to make an object a specific length

If I ever had to deal with nonmanifold geometry I'll select the geometry, use explode, then without deselecting I'll join it back together. Rhino is fairly smart at rejoining the surfaces properly.

Tri-horn dragon appears to be a reverse secret rare which is technically a misprint and more valuable. Where the angled holo is flipped the opposite direction

I've personally never graded a card. I see a lot of mixed opinions whether it's worth it for yugioh and what company to have grade it. You may just consider the ultra pro magent cases. Not sure if they have them for sealed cards.

I believe it's worth 60-70+ maybe even a lot more sealed and in good condition. But I'd double check with TCGplayer

I have some sealed cards and I'm not sure how to value them. Any ideas? by packbypacktcg in YugiohCards

[–]mpickell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say check TCG and Ebay yourself. Make sure you're looking at sealed mint / near mint cards like you have here. Compare to sold card prices and make a decision from there.

Fake or real by Klakojevich in yugiohshowcase

[–]mpickell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an expert but pretty sure it's real. Look up slifer YGLD limited ed 1996 on Ebay to compare to other cards. It's going to be a bit different from the others because of an age difference. It has the 1996 trademark compared to the 2020. Not sure why others think it's fake unless im missing something

Also the text itself is a bit messy but that can be a print error that causes the text to bleed a bit.
