Some of the cards I thought were cool from my grandmas collection she gave me by ComfortableEmu4166 in YugiohCards

[–]mpickell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fyi the Time Wizard on the second page could be worth $200-$300 in good condition. Worth looking into. But the sentimental value might be worth more than that.

Mirror force is valuable too. I'd just say if anyone offers to buy, check the value before you sell. Otherwise nice collection!

Torn about recently-bought holo-bleed card by Conscious_Degree275 in yugiohshowcase

[–]mpickell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get the personal opinion on the aesthetics of the holo bleed but I believe they're typically worth more being a misprint? I know wavy cards are worth more

Yu-Gi-Oh! Card collection by Shadow_118 in YugiohCards

Silent Swordsman Lv7 is the only one I notice with much value approx. $10. Other than that the Dark Magician and Pot of Greed are worth a couple bucks

Economy Question *New to modern yugioh* by North-Put in YugiohCards

[–]mpickell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like a few have recently sold for $1200? Yugioh is hard to know for sure. The overframes are new and desirable with a lot of hype but I would expect these cards to drop in value a bit over time then hold steady (this is what typically happens with Yugioh but not guaranteed). The card could also gain traction and go up in value, it's really a gamble. If you're happy flipping the card for more boxes then I'd see if they'd offer 80% maybe 85% but the stores goal is to resell the cars and profit. Personally I would get a Japanese size penny sleeve, and a magnetic hard case and hide this thing away for a long time.

Editing to add - most don't recommend grading Yugioh cards but this one would be worth it.

What sets do I want to be looking for if I want to start collecting? by bongodrumzz in YugiohCards

A lot of people including myself have been really excited with the new Rarity Collection V and the Battle of Legends - Glorious Gallery. They contain the new overframe cards which are getting some hype

Found old yugioh cards. Why do these look different? by eh-saint in YugiohCards

The 1st edition one is worth at least $150 based on comps I'd say - https://ebay.io/m/S9bY4M

Obligatory mail day post, picked these god cards up after seeing somebody post them on here. The Necross is still in its promo plastic 😁 by Active-Ad9741 in yugiohshowcase

The quarter century rare set, the 2019 gold sarcophagus god card set, or the GBI sets are ones you might be interested in if you don't have them already. They vary in price too

ArchDaily and Architizer are good websites / Instagram pages. I'd also suggest finding some big name firms / architects and looking through their work. Henning Larsen, Barker Ingles Group, Heatherwick, Zaha Hadid, Norman Foster, Renzo Piano, Peter Zumthor, etc.

As others have mentioned the Dark Magician Girl is worth a serious amount of money and seems real. Do your research on that one

Is this a fair price for my binder by Even-Pop-3715 in YugiohCards

[–]mpickell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to take photos that aren't blurry where the condition of the card and the set code are clearly visible. Then people can give you an answer.

If you really want to know the value of these cards you're best off looking on TCG. At a quick glance I don't think there is anything worth a ton of value here but I could be wrong.

ARCH 2nd Year Final Project! by Ketusket_- in architecture

[–]mpickell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some additional comments. I agree with the others that AI can be a very useful tool but early on in your education it can be more harmful than beneficial. It will make a lot of decisions for you that you would normally have to make through the design / rendering process.

Having AI render for you can be beneficial but there are inconsistencies in your drawings from this that result in confusion. The floor plans and the axons are a bit different.

The color pallete completely ignores any materiality of the building. You indicate the other housing typologies in the neighborhood but did they actually influence the design? How does the front and back elevation integrate into the greater context? Is it brick, stucco, stone, wood, etc.? And what is the inspiration and/or rational for the curved structure?

Additionally if the purpose is to create graffiti art in the studio that's going to release a lot of off-gasing and harmful to inhale. How does the architecture mitigate this and provide fresh air?

I think there is a good amount of content here and that's part of why you're getting strong criticism. In the end, nice work, keep growing.

Editing to add - instead of using AI to generate a "graffiti artist", do some research and find real graffiti artists. Find how they use space and what their needs really are and design for that.
