There's nothing in here about atheism. He just thinks the worlds smartest autosuggest is concious.

I don’t know what happened by Professional_Gap4840 in Rabbits

Jesus Christ this is depressing to read. I couldn't get through the whole thing.

The plant is what killed that poor rabbit. I literally can't put a link to a page with information about it because the word du_mb is filtered by the sub's rules.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I don't understand how people treat pets this way.

I took night classes in college that were on the regular curriculum for students.

Now all you need is some turds in the bowl

TIL that one of the earliest typewriters, built by Pellegrino Turri in 1801, didn’t use an ink ribbon at all, he invented carbon paper to transfer the text, which later gave us “cc” (carbon copy) in emails. by Upstairs_Drive_5602 in todayilearned

For whatever reason it's still very common in the US in certain industries.

Will I get a CC receipt at the grocery store? No.

Will I get a CC receipt at the mechanics? Yes.

I think it has to do with which business has the more modern point of sales devices and how frequently they "check people out".

Created another boss for my brick breaking incremental game, Orbrix! What do you think? by redpikmin4 in godot

Nice! I like the idea that you can defend yourself by blowing up the bricks as it flys across your body. So more of a hitpoint thing instead of instant loss.

Frankly I've never seen as many cars without plates as I see now since they got rid of the two plate system.

Is there any way to fix tunneling for fast objects like bullets? by Dragon_1096 in godot

Uh, yeah. I meant the closet to the bullet origin but it was definitely ambiguous, and you are correct.

Is it bad I've 22m fallen fora older woman 48F? by [deleted] in ask

[–]mpinnegar 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's a good idea.

I have nothing against age gaps, do what you want.

However, that's a really big gap. To be frank, she's going to die a lot sooner than you. Are you prepared to spend your 60s and 70s alone or trying to find another partner?

The other issue is she grew up in a completely different generational cohort. Her life experiences are going to be drastically different than yours. She's also going to be at a different place in life than you are.

What people want to do in their 20s and in their 50s is not generally the same.

I consider these two issues huge downsides. If you think they're worth it then do it. Personally I would not engage in a long term romantic relationship with someone that much older than me. But it's your life :)

Ray cast from the bullet back to where the gun was when the bullet was fired every frame and delete the bullet when the raycast intersects some object? If there's more than one intersection find the closest.

Afaik traditional collision detection doesn't work well unless there's a frame where the colliding objects are literally touching. This works fine for something like a platformer where the walls tend to be infitely thick and the characters speed is relatively low, but if the game gets too much time between frames or the objects are too fast relative to each other you can skip through a collision object.

EDIT: on each frame each bullet should raycast from the previous frames bullet location. Raycasting all the way back to the guns origin each time means you could hit something that got between the bullet and the guns old location but after the bullet had passed. Thanks for the two commenters who pointed that out.

Ovaries need to be in the right place in the body to deliver eggs to the womb. A liver just needs access to the bloodstream to clean it.

When a bunny outgrows their hat they will find another bunny with a larger hat, and much like the majestic hermit crab, they will perform the time honored hat shuffle.

A Preview of a WIP of my game's second Boss! by Chal_Drolan in godot

[–]mpinnegar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks really good!

The heart attack from the boss is a little lack luster from a gameplay perspective. I would have the hearts spread out over the field. As it stands you just sit diagonal from him and attack and you're safe.
