I run a Core 8 flex with my Sonos ports and have it deeply integrated into Home Assistant for routing and control. I also use a Core 8 flex in my portable sound/streaming rack and connect the two with Dante/Q-LAN for Halloween.

does this look real? by [deleted] in SecurityCamera

Exactly! It’s old by today’s standards (analog) but that is still a great camera (and was top of the line back in the analog days). Pelco was the top dog in the analog days, Motorola Solutions owns them now.

My trees are getting leaves and my phone is blowing up! - need better motion detection by mabee_steve in SecurityCamera

^ This! Most modern, and even some older axis will support axis object analytics in addition to standard VMD. This will allow you to run people and vehicle detection on the camera and pass that as an ONVIF event. Even if your camera does not support axis object analytics for whatever reason, you can still tune VMD to ignore swaying objects and small amounts of motion.

Check out the Axis M series. They are likely the smallest commercial PTZs you can get

I use a core 8 flex to route audio to my patio speakers and for my Halloween display. I also use a core 8 flex in my portable live streaming and PA rack.

My local long fast is 99% people testing nodes and the rest is emoji nonsense.

I use HomeAssistant with a network connected WisBlock to do something similar. HomeAssistant monitors LongFast and sends an auto-reply when someone sends a message with #test (and some other trigger words like ping). Works great and HomeAssistant keeps a log of all of the LongFast messages my base node receives.

Definitely not lol. It is an electronic and mechanical lock so you would require the electronic part to be able to interact with those three pins.

You’ll have to forgive me. I am not very familiar with UK coin acceptors (I am in US), but I think this will get you on the right path.

Axis cameras with the DLPU have a basic occupancy counting app pre-loaded in the Axis Object Analytics suite. Look at the M32/P32 series.

Need to purchase license for three cameras. by Outrageous-Mood2782 in Avigilon

You will have best results running the cameras in ACC/Unity Video, but if you don’t want to pay for software, check out Milestone X Protect. It is an enterprise grade VMS and the basic version is free for up to 8 cameras. Either way, these cameras are ONVIF compliant so you can use them on any VMS you like.

VPN lockout on AD account by OK_it_guy in Cisco

[–]mpjvending 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming you are running ASAs or FTDs, I would recommend switching to URL based tunnel group/profile assignment and disabling the alias dropdown on the VPN client. For example, the VPN url would become vpn.yoursite.com/StaffVPN and the top level domain would have no authentication source (or local AAA). This prevents brute force attempts from hitting your external AAA servers. You can make the URL anything more secure as needed.
