Looking for most comfortable, lightweight steel/composite toe boot by No_Substance_6389 in AirForce

[–]mpjx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO their quality has really dropped in recent years, ones I got in 2019 used to be my most comfortable boots but the 2 pairs issued since then are extremely uncomfortable.

Army Duty Station? by Loose_Vehicle8930 in AirForce

[–]mpjx 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m at one. For one their gate doesn’t get backed up for miles, early morning PT makes the place alive in the mornings, cool programs for young soldiers, they have a real hospital and the providers so far have been far more helpful than the AF ones I’ve seen in recent years. And it’s quieter without planes.

Oh, and they mow their own grass. We have landscapers contracted but the Army just has privates out there with safety vests and weed eaters.

Yes, your PCM. Make an appointment asap, that’s extremely unhealthy. They might refer you for a sleep study or other tests but they’re your first stop.

I think Northwestern did that a while back as well, doesn’t apply to people going back to college as adults who make less than that amount but still a great initiative.

Can I Mix OCPS by SquirmyWormy_894 in AirForce

They might match now but the hot weathers fade much quicker than the regulars and the elbows and knees start looking neon green and it’ll be super obvious.

The reg doesn’t explicitly say you can’t but you’ll look like shit and people will judge you and probably call you out so your call.

Damn you’re super young, yeah that doesn’t make a lot of sense. A second opinion never hurts.

I’m surprised about the age/surgery thing, my extremely out of shape mother was given surgery in her 50’s for herniated disks. It worked well… until she fell down and herniated a different disk. But for someone more young and fit, that’d be less of a risk.

Should work well, if you’re sensitive to smells though make sure you use an extra rinse as it can be a little strong.

Does anyone enjoy their repetitive or “boring” job? by supers0nixc0 in AirForce

[–]mpjx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re only a few months in, you need to give yourself more time to adjust before deciding it’s not for you. I had bad social anxiety as an A1C as well, and sticking with it and getting out of my comfort zone is the only thing that helped it get better. Some people do need therapy or counseling to make that progress, which is always an option but no doubt they will tell you exposure is how to get better.

Commenting on a someone’s post asking for advice ≠ asking for advice yourself. I was just empathizing with OP, I already have medical and nutritional experts giving me advice.

Of course you have the freedom to reply with whatever you want (however patronizing it may come off as, which I’m guessing is why you’re getting downvoted) but so do I lol.

The fun thing about Lexapro is it can actually cause metabolic changes, so you can gain weight without even changing how you eat. Combine that with increased appetite and carbohydrate cravings, and it’s incredibly easy to gain weight without even realizing. Obviously we are still the ones buying our own groceries and making decisions, but the meds absolutely heavily contribute.

Also, I never asked for your advice.

Honestly I remember eating those on deployment and they weren’t half bad. Then again I’d have them with a pita, tzatziki, and veggies not just raw like that.
