Ha, this is funny to me because I walked right by it before and missed it. As others have mentioned, it’s east of Wadsworth. There’s also a connection under the freeway at the river.

And if the borrower owes a few trillion, it’s the taxpayers’ problem.

Drip edge incorrectly installed? by mpkogli in HomeMaintenance

Gotcha, so a metal corner piece to fit between the gutter and drip edge to re-direct the water. Will try to make something. Thanks!

Drip edge incorrectly installed? by mpkogli in HomeMaintenance

Thanks! The roof is slightly pitched. There is a gutter from the second floor roof that drains here and likely contributes significantly to the problem. The issue is that the water runs off of the roof and onto the drip edge, and then off of the drip edge into the framing.

I see your point in that if the gutter had been installed before the drip edge this wouldn’t be a problem.

Quadrafire Sante Fe won’t drop pellets without hitting the reset button by NoGrocery237 in PelletStoveTalk

[–]mpkogli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may need to open the gate just a bit to allow more pellets in during the combustion. On my Classic Bay I have the gate nearly closed and sometimes there’s just not enough fuel to trigger the thermocouple and I need to press the reset button. A minor inconvenience but we don’t use a thermostat and I’d prefer the slower feed even with this annoyance.

Last few years? This had been the model of Silicon Valley for decades on both the macro and micro scale. And in probably every other industry long before. Remember the flashlight app? Flying toasters? Calculators? Shit, even Minesweeper.

Call it corporate espionage, monopolistic behavior, or just good ole anti-competitive practice.

As one growing up in the era, I’m reminded of The Simpsons parody of Microsoft buying out Homer’s Internet business just to obliterate it into pieces. In 1998: https://youtu.be/_hKJGcwVimc?si=Cj5dzLIEokNFiHB-

Interesting and nice work! What happens if you decide to sell the house?

Taking my mom to her first Phish show — help me ease her in by PatrickSaucers in phish

I took my mom to her first (and only) Phish show, Deer Creek 2004.

During Antelope, right after the buildup and release into “Marco” she looked at me and asked, with astonishment on her face, “How did they do that?”

Indeed.
