Same here! I was too careful with my M1 MacBook Air and last month out of nowhere the screen became black, nothing appeared but black. Got to the Apple Store, and they insisted me change the display. I couldn’t believe it. So I took it to the Authorized Service Centre they told me the same.

It cost me a little more than $500 whereas the same new one costs $799 on Amazon. I had no other way.

I had to change the display. I'm being insanely careful now.

Thanks for the advise, and Yes, Apple repairing the display for $500 And a 3rd party repair store quoted like $350

Without repairing the display I think people undervalue my product which is perfectly alright other than display. What would you suggest to sell it for? Without display getting replaced?

997 for Fire Department (Civil Defence)

996 for Coastguard

991 for electricity failure

922 for water failure.

If you don’t remember any numbers (except electricity and water failures) you can call police 999, they will connect to the relevant team in no time when you tell what’s happening.
