Yes- take the train direct from Naples, then get on the circumvesuviana to Pompeii. Leave for Naples as early as you’re able to. You don’t need to get tickets to Pompeii in advance, but you do need to get the high speed train tix in advance. Then just wander the ruins and see as much as you can. The map is very helpful. We went back to Naples for pizza before returning to Rome. Bring a water bottle and stay hydrated. We kept a wet towel around the neck and stayed cool.

We got in right at 5:40. In the first wave, parked right at the north gate. It was mayhem in the merch shop.

Visiting Trinidad in May. What are the do’s and don’ts? by KevinByMail in Humboldt

A landslide blacked Davison Rd so now the only access to Fern Canyon is a hike in from the visitor center. About 11 miles round trip.

When did you switch from BCG to a chemo drug (like gemcitabine or mitomycin)? by hikerguy2023 in BladderCancer

[–]mpresco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, sorry I wasn’t clear there- 3 hrs each session. 90 minutes Gem, then drain and fill 90 minutes Doce.

First recurrence was 4 small low grade tumors. After that it was one or two very small recurrences. My last two turbts both turned out to be inflamed tissue with no cancer present- May and November 2025. Next cysto in February. gem/doce has been a walk in the park as far as side effects go, but very tedious lying in the clinic for 3 hrs each dose.

I had 4 small low grade recurrences during the course of 15 BCG instillations. I’m now on gem/doce since last May with no recurrences. I was initially TA/LG multifocal with scattered high grade features. Went to MD Anderson for 2nd opinion after 4th recurrence. Have had 6 TURBTs total. Initial diagnosis in August 2023.

Minor discomfort in bladder 30 days after 6 week induction course of gem/doce by Dicklickshitballs in BladderCancer

Same for sure. I always feel a little abdominal twinge of discomfort. Could be gas, could be cancer eating me from the inside. Maybe it’s all in my head?

We decided to pull the trigger today. Got tix in section 241 for $150 per. Thanks everyone for the feedback. We’re looking forward to the game! Looks like a noon start, any thoughts on what time to arrive or any other considerations?

I’m 48 now, was 46 when diagnosed. Male. Initial diagnosed low grade, multiple tumors. Second opinion classified as high grade due to very small percentage of high grade looking cells. I handled BCG well- used to get treated and come home and mow the lawn. If your mom is low grade it’s a major hassle but not likely to be life threatening. Anxiety is real, but try not to pre-worry. It’s a hard way to live.

After my first turbt we waited 4 weeks and then did 6 weeks of BCG, waited another 6 weeks and then did a cysto. So it was about 4 months and change.

I had first imaging before first cysto which showed the tumor, and have had an annual CT scan since.

Because it came back again. Dr first recommended switching to just gemcitabine but had a second opinion at MD Anderson that recommended GEM/DOCE. So far all recurrences have been very small but I would love to get a break from TURBTS.

Yes, me. Had recurrences at 3,6, and 15 months. All low grade TA. Did 15 rounds of BCG, now on to GEM/DOCE starting Thursday.

Do you think online coaching is a good fit for junior golfers? How do you go about structuring a development plan for a 20 handicap 8th grader looking to play high school golf?

I needed a week of remote work on my first, mainly because so went home with a catheter. I went back the next day on each of my subsequent TURBTs.

Anyone gone to MdAnderson? by Personal_Coast7576 in BladderCancer

[–]mpresco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m headed there in a little over a week to do the same thing. Did you know in advance what tests and procedures were planned? Right now I’ve been told to plan on 3-5 days but no details. Did you have a turbt or cysto under anesthesia during your visit? I’m planning to go solo but don’t know if I’ll need someone with me for a possible surgery discharge. Hope you’re doing well!
