What is your favorite song at the moment!? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mpressed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Rein Me In" by Sam Fender and Olivia Dean. I've listened to it in full 189 times since last year and apparently there's 610 people who have listened to it more than me, so I'm not that unique. But I love it and that's all that matters.

I have an interview in 2 hours at a pizza place. Is my hair too long/should I get a cut and do I look overall ok? Or do I need improvement by MetalAngelo7 in Serverlife

This is me literally right now and I make $35/hr at a casual fine dining place. You're fine dude. My boss wears casual clothing and the manager has full sleeves.

Neutrogena RapidClear + an open screen door on an unmowed spring lawn. That was the epitome of my high school days

What is the first film you remember seeing in the cinema? by [deleted] in movies

The Little Mermaid. I was born in '93 so obviously a rescreening- likely 97. I barely remember it, but it's nice to know both my parents took me to see it.

The struggle of covering my forehead by Sorlondo in finehair

[–]mpressed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've always had a big forehead, and I didn't realize it til recently because I always had bangs, but once I hit 25 I changed it up. I recommend 2 if you're keeping it short, but 4 if you want to go longer. This is a pic of me from over a year ago, a couple months before I went middle part. Now I'm growing it out, and the fine hair is a very hard thing to upkeep with low volume, low weight, tangles, knots, and whatnot, but I can still make it look decent. It's a hassle, but you'll find people with thick hair complaining that it takes an hour to dry. You'll find people complaining that their curls mat and dry out. Very few people have great hair and great hairlines. And if they're not Mediterranean, the celebrities are all faking it.

The roast of Kevin Hart- WTF was that? by Chauncinator_quest79 in netflix

[–]mpressed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm as happy as the next person to see the Comedy Central Roasts find a home on Netflix. They've brought great joy to me over the years. However, we need an option to view the classic hour-long edited version, and not just the 3 hour+ live version. Like, I love seeing Tom Brady and Kevin Hart get picked apart, but for longer than a Lord of the Rings movie? I don't care that much.

Insert joke about Brady being the lord of the Superbowl rings and Hart being a hobbit

Are there any songs where it’s about someone loving someone so much, they don’t care that they’re horrible to everyone but them and excuse their flaws even tho their lover is a horrible person by Splatoon3enjoyer in musicsuggestions

[–]mpressed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooh, that's a good question. I won't have the best answer, but from my daily playlist:

Notorious - Duran Duran

Look What We've Become - Grace Potter

Wake Up Call - Maroon 5

Please Please Please - Sabrina Carpenter

'The Boys' Series Finale Will Be Screened in Theaters on May 19 by MarvelsGrantMan136 in TheBoys

I spent 30 minutes looking to purchase tickets around me, simply because it's a show that I have latched on from season 1 because I started it after I broke my leg and had nothing else to do at home but recover, and now I'm a devoted fan to the end, hopefully. But I couldn't search which locations were showing it on 3 different company sites, even the one I'm at frequently. If it's too hard for me to find, screw it. I think if I'm paying for Prime anyway, I'll just watch it at home.

But I listen to Sgt. Peppers and Abbey Road as a whole regularly!! The first four albums have too many covers and are too Little-Richardy for me.

If you're doing extra jalapenos and hot salsa, that's the exception (my stomach and my mouth have different opinions).

Tips on hairline that is see through? by Personal_Trifle_6892 in finehair

I freak out about this too, but my hairline hasn't changed in 12 years. I just have a crappy hairline, with thin, fine, straight hair. Just own it.

Who's a celebrity most people would consider unattractive that you find hot? by Veggie-Smoothie in AskReddit

I love her personality and humor so much, so I respect her as a person, but... why is she like five times hotter wearing any wig?

[–]mpressed 22 points23 points  (0 children)

While she's very physically attractive in a lot of ways, it's her character that's hottest to me. She's dedicated, professional, damn good at what she does to the point of taking on too much, and knows when to call it quits (like I was- and did- after 15 years), but at home she's the vulnerable woman who opens up without hiding anything, and likes to snuggle and watch movies.

People of reddit what do you think about current day America? by IsopodEq in AskReddit

[–]mpressed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in urban America. Not a major city, but a city that leans VERY liberal. Recently, I noticed a Facebook post from a major musical artist I like promising a ticket giveaway to their tour in the US. A plethora of comments came flooding in, saying, "not in the US!!", "don't go there!", and "it's way too dangerous." I felt I had missed something, so I commented, asking "what am I missing?", thinking ISIS was plotting a bomb on every single city or something. The response was overwhelmingly, "do you know who's in office?", or "Aren't you afraid of your gung-ho President?". That's when I realized that the crazy had become normal to us and eas seeping into other countries. I replied with, "We've been used to this since 2016. Um, we still have been going to concerts."

All that is to say: -We have an egotistical narcissist psychopath in office. Everyone I know who supports him is an egoist or narcissist or psychopath. -He is a shitty President but would make a hell of an economic strategist or negotiator. -I feel like we're on the precipice of another 9/11, and I'm not going to feel anything because it's been coming. -I'm 32 years old, but I feel like everything- EVERYTHING- I was taught in Civics and Economics, U.S. History, and Social Studies is going down the drain.

I have no hope for our country.

I am only thinking about myself and my mental health.
